★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic stay. One of the best resorts that we have ever visited. Turmeric serves the best breakfast buffer and observatory bar serves the best cocktail! Tho we waited a tad bit long for our lunch at turmeric, about one hour for our pad Thai (same goes to other tables). Other than that, it’s a nice resort and will definitely visit again!

from the moment I arrive at the resort, the security guard, the hotel staff, all of them welcome us with a lovely smile on their face, and I pretty sure that this gonna be the best resort I’ve ever been! all the staff there were so helpful, our check in session are pretty smooth although we got 28 ppl.
covid still not totally gone yet, but not crowded at all, the entire resort is so big?
the amenities they provided, the cleanliness of the room, everything is on top notch!
Thanks for giving us magnificent holiday. probably will visit again if going Desaru. Keep it up!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Check in was a disappointing experience with our requests made in advance via email being misunderstood.
Vista-wise, the views from my balcony, coffee house, swimming pools were quite incredible, but I find the whole place, buildings and deco a dismal grey. No colours to uplift my mood. Thankful though for the blue skies and sea to make up for it. The service and food were not up to my expectations of a five star hotel. The matresses of the two rooms we took were soft and tilting to one side. Despite the hotel's efforts to rectify the unacceptable quality of these mattresses, my mood was already dampened by a very bad first night trying not to fall out off my bed, waking up with a bad back and aching body. Overall, many improvements need to be made especially f & b menu selections and waiter service. Bicycles need to be maintained. Some beach toys for kids would have been nice. Beach slippers, hat and bag would been nice too.
The beach was very nice, and cleaned every morning, but be careful, I had my feet covered with sludge on my last morning wading through the water, probably from passing ships.
After our unpleasant experience the first day the managers and staff tried their best to make our stay more pleasant. Thank you for that. We did have a wonderful and enjoyable beach getaway after all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed one night in Deluxe Sea view rooms and had a wonderful time there. Stunning views and we were pretty impressed with the warm and friendly service offered. I think you have done a good job in training your employees so well there.The bed was so comfortable that I already miss it so much. The two pools were great and the beach was so nice. Will definitely visit again in near future.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best resort in Desaru! Check-in process was smooth. Beautiful resort with stunning view. Staffs were all very helpful & friendly. Variety of choice for breakfast. The GM was very attentive. We had a great 3 days 2 nights stay. Will definitely come again soon.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a wonderful time staying at Anantara Desaru. The hospitality was great, our room was beautiful and well-prepared. All the food we tried were delicious. We really had a good time there. The one thing… the mattress of the baby cod was too soft and it might be caused SIDS. Hope they have hard (not too soft) mattress for the cod soon. We really like this resort so we’ll be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a wonderful time spending the Christmas weekend here. The rooms are well decorated. The bathroom took up 1/2 the room.
The resort is spacious. There's always a place for everyone at the pools or the beach. Staff are great too.
There are rough edges in service. Needs to be polished, after all it's Anantara that we are talking about.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best resort chains we have ever been to and service is top notched at all times when we are staying at the resort. Villa cleanliness was impeccable and staff are always courteous. Resort itself is sprawled across a huge area so we don’t feel as if the place is crowded except during the buffet breakfast when one will noticed the numerous guests in the resort. Resort has direct access to beach so one can take an early morning stroll to catch the sunrise. We have a private pool in our villa so we always felt safe during this pandemic time when we need not share swimming pool with other guests. Overall a nice R&R resort.
