山不在高，有仙则灵。霹雳路受天宫庙宇虽小，但神明显灵之说却时有所闻，更特别之处是该庙宇也具足了“一个马来西亚”精神，除了供奉观音菩萨和大伯公，还包括拿督公和兴都教神祗，充分体现了大马的多元文化特色。
霹雳路受天宫建立至今已有198年历史。对于庙宇的传说众说芸芸。有人说，曾看过一名身着古服的老翁，总是乘坐三轮车到该处：也有人说，一名印裔妇女每每进入庙宇酬神，即会被蛇神附身，在地板上有如蛇般爬行：还有一名华妇，在庙里总是有如大伯公般笑个不停。
然而，这些传闻早已无从考究。负责打理庙务20年的莫慧卿表示，她过去偶尔会在午间时段，闻到阵阵的鸦片味。
据悉，由于庙里供奉大二伯，一些信徒会以鸦片祭拜，但令她百思不解的是，为何庙里会不时飘出吸食鸦片的异味。
每天受天宫都有不少信徒上门酬神许愿，包括印裔同胞。记者问莫慧卿神明灵验与否，她笑说：“这我是不清楚了，但总会有人在拜神不久后，即准备丰富祭品再上门答谢神恩。”

Others say that every time an Indian woman enters a temple to reward the gods, she will be possessed by a snake god, and she looks like a snake on the floor. However, these rumors have long been elusive. Mo Huiqing, who has been in charge of temple affairs for 20 years, said that she used to smell bursts of opium during the noontime.
It is reported that some believers will worship with opium because of the worship of the second uncle in the temple, but what makes her puzzled is why the peculiar smell of smoking opium wafts out of the temple from time to time.
Every day in Shoutian Temple, many believers come to pay God's vows, including Indian compatriots. The reporter asked Mo Huiqing whether the god was efficacious, she laughed and said: "I don't know this, but there will always be people who will prepare to enrich the offerings and then come to the door to thank the gods soon after worshipping the gods."
