โ โ โ โ โ Not many tourist here which is good because the road coming up here only can accomodate 1 car both ways! Imagine 2 cars up & down at the same time. Limited parking at the foothill.

โ โ โ โ โ Small fort on top of the small hill. Quick climb, faster spin around and down in a flash. Place in pretty dead except for the few people exercising up the hill

โ โ โ โ โ A short hike up the hill to reach the fort. It's nothing impressive but still worth visiting. Wouldn't recommend staying there for too long because of the mosquito. Free entrance.

โ โ โ โ โ This is a well-preserved historical site on top of a little hill. It was a fort during Portuguese and Dutch rule. There are information board for visitors to understand more about its history. Now this is a popular place for joggers, especially in the morning and evening. There is a road leading up to the fort, with trees along the road providing canopy. You can park your car at the foothill, and walk up about 400metres to the fort, or you can drive your car up but the road is quite narrow. There are monkeys on the trees but they are friendly.

โ โ โ โ โ More like a local workout spot where people go for exercise walks. You can park at the foothill (very limited spots) and take a short walk up.
Once you reach the fortress area, there are signages along the way that give you a brief history about the fort.
The hill is now surrounded by trees and taller buildings, so there is limited view although this was once used as a hilltop lookout point to protect the city.
Nothing much to see as a tourist, but lovely cooling area for jogs / walks.

โ โ โ โ โ Came here on a weekend. Parked at the foot of the Fort and climbed the steep stairway. The area has many dogs and you need to be careful. Upon entering the Fort, you are rewarded with the breathtaking view. Definitely a defining moment for Melaka when the Dutch cannons were fired against the enemies approaching from inland. Can just imagine all 5 cannons thundering simultaneously. You need to read the background history before visiting St. John's Fort. This will add value to your experience. Will come here again to enjoy the serenity...

โ โ โ โ โ This place is way off and lesser known from other major tourist attractions in Melaka. Nothing much around here but great place for uphill exercise if you are up for it. Have very limited parking spaces so park your vehicle with thoughts for others. Just below the fort, there is an old Chinese burial ground probably dating a few hundred years that the descendants may have moved off or lost with the times.
