Food was below par. Taste was a bit bland. Green tea was expensive and no refills were given.

A nice and clean Japanese fast food restaurant at a newly opened shopping mall right next to Plaza Mont Kiara . They have their signature gyu don, or beef bowl and other bowl dishes and Japanese ramen. I tried double katsu topi don (ala carte, 15.90). Their katsu, or bread crumbed and deep fried meat, is chicken as this is a halal restaurant. Katsu itself is not bad, but their sauce to cook katsu and chicken was felt too diluted and a little tasteless. I am not sure if this applies only for the bowl I ordered or this is their way, so I've got to try again to determine.

Tucked away in a corner is this brightly lit restaurant serving Japanese food, rice and noodles. The unagi set was above average. I mean don't compare to a full scale proper Japanese restaurant with the individual rooms or booths. This is Japanese bowl rice and noodles fast food. I had the set that came with a plate of mackeral, 3 side dishes, miso soup, chawanmushi and a slice of watermelon. Worth it! The volcano ramen was pretty good as well. Tasty and fiery. Will come back again for sure as they have take out menu as well.

Had a beef bowl and it was quite good and affordable. Itโ€™s not the best or the most authentic but itโ€™s decent and affordable Japanese cuisine.

This place has no hotpot or buffet. That is Suki-ya 1MK. The Gyu don beef here not authentic. I ordered the set and one of the appetitser was rotten. What was good was that there is plenty of seats, in house basin and delicious meckereal. Maybe they should consider rebranding the meckereal as a star dish rather than beef.

What was supposed to be grilled Chicken yaketori was more like boiled chicken, heavily coated with sauce. The "chicken" was not fresh, and had a tainted taste. I threw half away. Bad experience. Used to be a semi-regular customer, but will not be buying anymore from this shop. Disappointing.

Lack lustre. Flavourless matcha latte and gyudon. Chicken teriyaki was decent. Unagi egg Don lacked signature sauce that makes the dish shine.

Queued up about an hour and a half on a public holiday. The little bridge in front of the store is quite sunny and hot so might want to consider bringing a little fan. The food is really good though. The tsukemen with Aka (spiciness level 3) was very rich in flavour. The ramen with Shiro based soup was milder. Really impressed by how similar the flavours were to authentic Japanese ramen! The potato croquette tasted pretty standard to me, wouldnโ€™t order that again. I enjoyed the Mapo tofu but some may feel like itโ€™s normal as well.
