★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quality for money. You save at least 30-40% compared to sakae or zanmai. The salmon is thick and scrumptious. Note that price per piece is exactly as displayed in the menu. Eg. If you see one piece, means you get one piece per order. A bit unlike others where there are 2/3 pieces per plate. But the pieces are big!! ?wasabi and ginger tastes fresh. There are plenty of choice on the conveyor belt unlike others again. ? not much choice for don/ramen either but don’t bother, the ramen we had isn’t any good. Don’t expect amazing decor or ambience. It has a practical feel to it, and maybe thats why price can be lower. I wont mind going to any of its outlet again soon.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sushi Mentai serves exquisite Japanese cuisine. The philosophy behind Sushi Mentai is to bring affordable and quality Japanese food to the masses, allowing all to enjoy Japanese delicacies against a modern and casual backdrop.
At Sushi Mentai, authentic Japanese food is no longer an experience reserved just for the privileged; the restaurant serves superior ingredients and condiments mostly imported from Japan to treat one to a gastronomical fare.
The name Sushi Mentai stems from Mentaiko, a sought-after top fish roe dish lightly flavoured with sauce, and a household Japanese dish. Sushi Mentai’s signature dishes are also specially served with an in-house concocted Mentai sauce to bring out the flavours of the inherent ingredients. The culinary experience will necessarily be a palatable one.
Today, Sushi Mentai has many outlets in Malaysia, located in heartland areas where it is accessible to the majority.
In the name of popularising quality, yet affordable Japanese cuisine, Sushi Mentai will grow its number of outlets by three-fold by the end of the year, through collaborative alliances with strategic business partners who are aligned to the restaurant’s spirit of bringing authentic Japanese cuisine to all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In terms of price wise, it’s pretty affordable and cheap. Taste wise, some are good some are just soso. And take note that some of sushi tasted like they had been left on the rotation conveyor belt. Service wise, not bad I would say. But you have to expect some slow and late response during peak hour. Food choices wise, quite a number of different food variation available.
The worst thing is the sweet sauce, it tastes awfully bad. Just like normal sweet sauce adding a lot of water inside which make it very disgusting. But you can still come here for some quick meal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sushi quality were similar to other branch but not the ramen. We always order the ramen when we visit sushi mentai in Penang or puchong, and this is the first time we tried seri kembangan branch, the spicy raman was way below the rest, the soup was tasteless

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food not standardised when compared with other branches.
Smaller pieces of sushi, meat sliced much thinner, curry chicken katsu (fried chicken shop) smaller piece.
Green tea is substituted with Rice tea.
Will not visit this branch again. Owner is clearly trying to cut cost.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Slightly below standard when compare with other branches. Not many option to choose from the belt as they didn’t replenish enough type of sushi. The staff didn’t come back and inform us that the item ordered was not available until we ask. Wasting 25-30 mins waiting for food and get nothing.
