The food was basic and just like fast food canteen. So ,enjoy a cheat day

โ โ โ โ โ I visited few branches before and I really like sushi mentai. BUT believe me this branch is the BEST. Their food quality and taste is slight better than others and the portion is bigger than any other branch if you order other dishes besides than sushi. ?? They also move to this large space shop recently so is much more comfortable.

โ โ โ โ โ Sushi Mentai has become my favorite place for affordable sushi! Kinda skeptical about the taste before, but since a lot of people post Google Review, so I decided to try this place and has been going here for 3x and will do again in the future
Since theirs are more towards "affordable sushi" so don't expect it to have the same level as premium ones (Minatoya's still my fav) but this place exceeds compared to those sushi chains. The ingredients are good, seasoning is nice, and they have quite a wide selection of shrimp sushi (which I like)
But, their only good stuffs are the sushi. Tried Tempura, Ramen, all mediocre. Their fried stuffs are terrible, idk why. Miso soup tastes okay, but for me it tastes like instant one.
Queue can be a hassle, so come here either before or after lunch/dinner time

โ โ โ โ โ Pretty spacious restaurant, especially if you compare it to the KL branches. Elegant, clean atmosphere too. The sushi is about what you expect for the price but is a pretty good deal! Just don't go in expecting high end, ultra authentic Japanese sushi. It tends to get a lil busy around lunch hour but there's ample carparks around so that's not an issue. Overall, had a pleasant time there.

โ โ โ โ โ First time patronizing this outlet. Superbly friendly staff & great service too. Celebrated my fatherโs 68th birthday here on last Saturday, 28 May 2022. It was my fatherโs most memorable yet happiest birthday celebration that day.

Shisamo was terribly done. A bit too raw. 2 stars
Salad also up to expectation. 3 stars
Tempura set was too oily and flour was too thick to my liking. 1 stars
Edamane was too old. 1 stars
Temaki was OK. 3 stars
Shishamo was terrible done especially the octopus. Really spoil my mood. 1 star
The only good thing that surprises me was the price. U can can come if u want to have cheap rather than quality of Japanese food
