★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cheap, not crowded. Nice ambience. Always prefer this outlet compared to the 2 outlets which is much nearer to my house ?.. simply bcoz it is spacey, not noisy and peaceful. The sushi although has shrinked in size, it is still slightly bigger than the outlet in Sunway Giza Kota Damansara. The menus was smudged and really dirty though ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited the shop after a colleague recommend me to try their curry meal.
I have a long quest to look for a perfect chicken katsu as the ones I had in Shibuya, Japan.
Sushi mentai manage to hit that sweet spot, the chicken cutlet is crispy on the outside yet soft and juicy on the inside.
Had a small throwback at the first bite,
I do have a small suggestion to make it a perfect taste similar to the ones I had in Japan. The curry needs to be slightly thicker and more flavor. If that's achieved, I'm totally going to be this shop regular since I live nearby.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don’t prefer Sushi Mentai in general (services, and the food) but Taman Desa branch provides excellent service and quality foods. Sushi seems to be larger in size now compared to others branch perhaps it is because they have more time to prepare in the kitchen as the rotary sushi bar is cancelled now.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The first picture was from today, every other picture was from another day. Basically every single time I go here I order this dish, it's a fish and it's called Saba shioyaki.
I really love this dish but at the same time I don't know much about japanese food, so I order and try new things, this is one of the dishes that I was a very big fan .
However, all this while the shop would give a sort of salt looking thing alongside with the fish, like in the pictures next to the lemon. Today unfortunately they gave me something that looked like that but I don't know what it was, they called lobak or logam or something, the smell was foul and rotten. I told them and they said this is how it was supposed to smell, I told them that I've ordered countless times, this time it stinks and the smell is foul. And I actually had already spread it onto the fish without realizing the smell, they said I was wrong although I ordered the same fish over and over again previously.
The first picture is the picture taken just before leaving, meaning I didn't eat it other than taking 2 bites to taste the fish initially, they refused to cancel the order which I was fine with they didn't want to replace the dish either, at the end I told the issue at the cashier and they said sorry about that and charged me for it and said have a good day.
The restaurant is has a nice environment, the drinks are really good so is the sushi but please don't order the fish. I am genuinely sad that I wouldn't be going to this shop anymore. Also don't order the Tako, atleast it's not what I'm used too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice sushi and choices of Japanese food at a affordable rate. Highly recommended as a Japanese family restaurant.
Outlet located at 1st floor w/ lift, so those with difficulties with stairs may not be so suitable.

The food taste delicious and the price is alright.
