Tanjung Inn

We checked in on a Friday exactly at 3pm which was their check in time. We were staying in the new chalet facing the bigger lakes but on the 1st floor. We requested for a room on ground floor as my mom is quite elderly but she said there isn't any. Well, checking in was not so pleasant. The staff was not friendly and just walked straight to the room assuming we knew she is actually showing us the room. I had a few things to carry already so I couldn't help my 60-year old mom to help carry her heavy luggage. This girl didn't even offer to help carry the smallest bag after seeing how my mom struggled to walk to the room let alone go up the staircase. When we were in the room, she didn't explain anything and just gave us a bag that had 1 mosquito repellent device with only 3 mats and the TV and AC remote control. That's it. The room was basic with room slippers, towels and just one shower gel and one shampoo. That's it. Upon inspection of the room, we found that there were used bed sheets in the cupboard (as per picture) and there were tiny blood stains on the bed. Apart from that, the walls are pretty thin as we could hear the noise from downstairs and outside and it was loud. Later in the night, when I went back in to the toilet to shower, there were thousands of tiny little red ants on the toilet seat and the sink. It was digsuting. They were coming from outside through the wood of the window. One more thing, around 10.40am, just as we finished showering, there was no water at all. I dunno if they purposely did that or something happened with the water supply. I told the same receptionist about these problems and all she said was "OK". Not even a sorry, nothing. So, the receptionist's attitude really needs to be improved. Other than that, the surrounding vicinity of Tanjung Inn was very green and serene. Well, except for the bigger lake closer to their main reception area. It did not look well maintained and looked dirty and unappealing. No wonder there's so many mosquitos. That's it. Hope they will improve all this especially their receptionist's attitude.

This is an affordable gem in Cherating. We stayed for two nights in the family villas and definitely enjoyed the experience. The beach is family friendly with wide areas and wave pools. It is suitable for those with small family members to swim and wade. The staff are really helpful and responsive. Will definitely return to this gem!

Very relaxing and calm environment, with a modern kampung vibe. The beach is just a 2-minute walk away, and is equally serene and clean. Recommended to take an early morning walk during sunrise to admire the surroundings and feel at one with nature. Breakfast quality is so-so, however no complaints as there are stalls and restaurants nearby with variety of food served. Overall this place is good for a getaway with family and friends, with kids in tow.

Overall the hotel is OK, Receptionist got good manners?. But the man hotel manager got bad attitude, arrogant?

This place is a peaceful place to spend the holiday here. Scenery here are nice and friendly staff? Celebrate cny here is a absolute choice ever. Loves the natural scenery~~

Clean and cosy place to stay. AC works well, mini pool was clean, kitchen was clean and operational, no nyamuk and best of all, you can walk to the nearby pantai

Beautiful landscape all around the resort, but room interior can be improved definitely. We joked about how the resort might have spent a lot on maintaining the landscaping outside the area that they had to cut their budget with maintenance of the room? anyways, the bathroom needs deep cleaning, honestly. I’d still consider staying here again for the landscape and the close distance to the beach! But yes. Hopefully cleaner room for us next time. Staffs are friendly btw, thanks for your hospitality!
