★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the most natural and unspoilt islands off the east coast of West Malaysia, famous for snorkelling and scuba diving. Located in the South China Sea. You literally walk from your villa straight into a beautiful natural bay filled with all kinds of tropical fish, turtles and sea cucumber.
This resort offers all inclusive although facilities are basic. I did not mind as this is better than sacrificing nature to 5 star resorts. The food is authentic Malaysian. Very limited vegetarian fare. Entertainment is limited to watching the wildlife (monkeys and birds and giant fruit bats) and the occasional magnificent tropical thunder storms.
