The โ€˜porridgeโ€™ was undercooked rice, it was hard and dry. The prawns were fresh and iโ€™m glad that they peeled it. The fish was so so, it isnโ€™t stored in a fridge. The guy is really nice and friendly though, I hope they would improve their storage and quality. They also have 2 reserved parking spots right in front of the store so parking wasnโ€™t a problem.

Grew up living in this neighborhood but never knew the existence of this place until my colleague told me about it. And this is probably why, the shop doesnโ€™t even have a signage so itโ€™s easy for one to walk past and not notice it. I was recommended to try the pomfret noodle, and literally you get one whole pomfret. Itโ€™s not bad. But it is pricey. One bowl is RM18. My mum enjoyed it cause sheโ€™s a soupy person. Also ordered the fish cake which is quite good. What I really enjoyed though was the homemade ice jelly drink. Both zesty and refreshing! Great thirst quencher on a hot day!

Post pandemic brings out the best in over pricing. Two bowls of noodles without garoupa fish slices but only veggie Yong Taufu did not save the day, served at a staggering RM18.00 a bowl. The cooler box did not have any of the familiar pomfret or Teochew fishskin wanton or huqiao, the mainstay ingredients that anchored this chef's reputation in its heyday. Sadly, such pricing will not save him from the slippery slope to oblivion, even though the soup maintained its lighter touch.

Old spot. Been eating here since the 90s. Good selection of fish paste products and fresh seafood. A little bit pricey and some items may only be available depending on supply and freshness.

You probably can't see the signboard of this restaurant but it has been around since my high-school days. The environment is a typical hawker food environment The seafood is very fresh and you have a choice to choose the variety of seafood. But beware as it serves seafood do don't expect the typical RM7-RM10 per meal kind of dishes.
