★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We took a ferry from the jetty during Raya. Infrastructure is not up to the task of handling so many people during peak season. No clear announcement when it was time to board the ferry. People blocking the corridors with their luggage. So be prepared for some confusion when you take a ferry from there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Go to the right counter to get your ferry pass from your respective Redang island hotel booking, or purchase one. Make sure you purchase the marine park pass as well as I'm told you cannot buy them on the island itself.
The departure hall is too small so be ready to be cramped in a queue chaos until the door is open. And it's a long walk to the boat from this departure hall. Probably in the midst of an upgrade as we walk pass a new open parking area before reaching the boat.
Boat will depart late around 10min but worth while to queue at the departure hall around 15min earlier to get better options of seats.
Boat ride takes around 90min to reach Redang.
