β β β β β We visited The Art Gallery today during the Open Studios Penang event to see their Penang Artists: Past and Present exhibit. To our surprise they have quite a few Penang pioneer artistsβ works on show. We asked if there were more of Tan Choon Gheeβs paintings and gallery director Ee Lene was very helpful and pulled out more of his works in their collection for us to view. We had a wonderful time chatting with Ee Lene and learned something new about the artistsβ relationship with the gallery. I highly recommend The Art Gallery if you are a collector or an art enthusiast!

β β β β β Wonderful gallery featuring Malaysian artists, with a rotating variety of works and all available for purchase. Extremely knowledgeable, well-connected, and thoughtful proprietors (second-generation family-owned business). I would highly recommend for anyone interested in Malaysian art.

β β β β β This is the right place to look out for yr favourite arts. The owner is a very pleasant lady , rendering excellent service in term of explaination on art, easy to deal with with a smiling face and hand deliver to yr car parked at ground floor instead of you going up to pick it up .

Took the time to walk us through the exhibit and vast collection of artwork, and patiently explained the pieces that caught our attention. Gave us books to read, which were complimentary with our purchases.
An impressive gallery worth visiting. A myriad of art pieces from so many artists under one roof.

β β β β β most of the painting displayed in our clinics are purchased from The Art Gallery, Penang. The art shows are excellent and the explanation of curator of each shows are superb. The gallery also have good relationships with almost all of the famous Malaysian artists!

β β β β β Oldest and best established art gallery in Penang. Great collection of old Malaysian masters (one of the best I've seen). Proprietor Ee Lene is a real expert and enthusiast. They also have an excellent collection of books and reference materials on the subject. Made my first purchases here, and can't wait to go back!
