Very bad experience at this hotel. VERY bad welcome on arrival, cold and mean staff. I had to wait 20 minutes and no one cared that I was waiting! When I could check-in, the female receptionist did not explain anything, just took my passport, asked me to sign documents and gave me the keycard without any communication not explanation. I got vouchers but I didnโ€™t even know how and where to use them. No one helped to carry luggage even though the bellboy was there. Breakfast was included in the price but when I arrived to eat, very RUDE staff told me breakfast was not included!! What a joke. I eventually could eat breakfast as they were WRONG. At checkout, receptionists didnโ€™t even bother to ask how my stay was... 80$ a night is overpriced. You can get much more quality and professionalism for that price. Disappointing, I will no longer trust reviews!

Good location. Walking distance to Bukit Bintang, Lot10, Pavilion. Very comfy, love the design of the room & excellent service by the team. 24hrs check-in, most enjoy is the roof top mini bar. Keep it up ?

Modern polished hotel in a convenient KL location. Check in was great and (Elly) the receptionist was so helpful with information and recommendations. Room is nice, but the wifi coverage on the bed not so good, could be my phone however. I'd definitely recommend staying at the Journal.

Love the design, location and the extra stuff provided in the room. Staff are nice enough but did not welcome guests with friendly greetings. I asked for 2 blankets when i booked and when i check in but it was not provided. Pool area and toilet was still not cleaned on NYs day at 11.30am and cafe bar not open. Need to press several times for lift as the button light would go off making waiting time very long. Shower pressure was amazing but drainage was slow - flooding the shower if not careful. Overall lovely little hotel but with room for improvements.

1st time stayed here for 2 weeks business trip of my experience. Basically the location is very convenience for shopping and dinning. BUT WAIT!! The hotel service are very bad and low standards because 1.They don't provide drinking water everyday. 2 to 3 days one time 2. They don't do room keeping everyday. 2 to 3 days one time 3. They don't change the bath towel everyday or sometimes even forgot to give towel after room keeping. Conclusion: NOT WORTH FOR THE MONEY!! Unless you are being by force to stay here if not please choose another hotel. There are many hotel choices surrounding this area with better service and price.

Stay 28/May-31/May 2022. I am glad to find this gem hotel in the heart of the city. Close by to many street food just opposite street of the hotel. Nearby to monorail and main bus stop to many destinations. Hotel is super clean and friendly staffs. Walking distance to Pavilion area. Only problem is housekeeping is very late, 4pm and room is still not done. Will definitely stay here again if the price never increase ?

Very chic design, clean environment and most importantly, warm and friendly staff. I felt very welcomed. Hotel located just a corner from the KL city central and 3 minutes walk to monorail/mrt stations. Ensure of a quiet sleep yet able to take advantage of the proximity to the malls. I had a good rest and woke up totally refreshed to take a walk to twin tower. I did not drive so not able to comment on driving in KL or parking. But the transport system is convenient. Thank you so much!

Had a horrible experience staying at this hotel. To start, check in is supposed to be at 2pm, arrived at 3.30pm but only 1 out of 3 rooms were ready. Came back down at 4.30pm to check but still wasnโ€™t ready and front desk wasnโ€™t able to let us know when it would finally be ready. Finally got the 2 rooms at 5.30pm. Requested for compensation for the super delayed check in and after arguing got RM80 worth of vouchers to use by the pool. Both the staff at the check in counter were very unpleasant and not at all apologetic. By the pool, we ordered sweet potato fries it took so long but what came was truffle fries instead. Waiter was so rude and adamant that we ordered truffle fries. When we got the bill we were charged for truffle fries instead! The cashier did not allow us to apply all our eight vouchers (which were given as compensation for late check in) to our bill. Breakfast spread was pretty limited, food kept finishing and staff took too long to top up. Fruit were not ripe, pot of tea was empty, eggs were gone and worse staff werenโ€™t wearing masks. Check out was smooth but front desk guy couldnโ€™t even be bothered to ask how was the stay.
