★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They beeped me to go collect my food at counter but without utensils. I reached out my hand and took it from a tray behind the counter & got a offensive stare and voice tone from a staff that i am not allowed to do so due to SOP. I replied well if they would gave me the utensils the 1st place, or put a sign “DO Not take your own” or even put the tray way away from the counter, i would had follow the SOP. Furthermore every staff were busy behind in the kitchen & no one is at counter for me to ask or hand me the utensils. My reply provoked him & get a nastier verbal response.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They have good selections of menu at the cafe. We had breakfast and lunch while we were there for diving. They sometimes take time to serve food and drinks but I guess it’s part of the experience on this relaxing island.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cabana is a very nice place to stay at if visiting Tioman. It's right by the beach like literally few steps away. Accommodation is simple. Restaurant doesn't sell alcohol so you need to bring your own from supermarket just across the road. But the atmosphere in the actual restaurants is awesome. Owner and servers were really great. Breakfast choices are very nice, all fresh. When I visited we had no hot water but in 30 degrees scorches it was quite nice :). Diving centre right behind Cabana and on the whole not far from ferry stopping point. Quite difficult to find in the dark if ferry arrives late at night.

Tioman Cabana is about 600m walks from the jetty. Finding its way from the main road is not that easy nor straight forward. You will pass Pesona and a dive shop before you meet Rumah Hijau, then further walk you will find the diner which also serves as its reception.
The spot facing the sea is awesome. The beach is clean and superb with nice house coral reefs. During low tide, you can walk to check out the reefs with interesting colors and shapes.
The room was clean and basic, cosy enough for my family of 3 adults and 2 small kids to rest and enjoy the sea on the next day. My room rates has breakfast for 3 adults and unlimited usage for beach equipments like sit on top kayak, stand up paddle, snorkel, mask, fin and life jacket included at very reasonable price. They even allow us to bring the snorkel set to Taman Laut thus saving us rental and deposit there.
The food at the diner serving size are bigger than average Malaysian plate size. My kids love the food and the setup of the diner.
The staffs are friendly and helpful. I will definitely recommend this place to my family, friends and google readers too for a quiet, cosy and small family friendly place.

P.s - staff are friendly
-the shower is quite slow

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is my third time returning to this cosy place. Need I say more? ?
You want to chill, there's hammocks for you to do so. You want to dive, theres a dive shop here. You want to eat, there's Apek cooking for you. You want to snorkel, there's reefs and fishes right out of the beach. Can't ask for anything more. The crew here is the best. If you are lucky, you get Sham singing with his guitar ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love everything about it. Its a walking distance from the tekek jetty. The food was above expectation, amazing staffs, and they were super friendly and accommodating. Loved our room, it was a roof top room facing the sea, and i just couldn't get enough of the view. You can use the facilities provided by the bnb , eg kayak, stand up paddle board, snorkeling goggles for free (pls make sure to take care of it).
