★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Two of us wanted to join the tour as the tour was leaving. Was told that max number of people is 20 on Thursday so we cant join, although we told the lady we were leaving the next day.
When I counted the number of people in the group, there was at least 25 people and I saw a couple who just walked pass the group and joined the group without registering.
If the max group size is 40 on Saturdays, I dont understand why the lady refused to allow 2 more people on the Thursday's tour.
Very inflexible and frankly, senseless and stupid. The management should do something about this group size issue, or have more tours throughout the day so more tourists can learn about the heritage about this beautiful city.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just to pick up some maps. They tell you very few things to visit, just the most basic ones. I would expected more information if I tell them I will stay in Georgetown for 6 days. The maps are good!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Please be aware that the free guided walking tour is limited to only 20 people!
Apparently you have to register in advance or come there as early as possible.
Unfortunately, this is not mentioned on their flyers or website.
Staff was also quite rude when informing us that the tour was already full. No "sorry" or anything else. We got kind of thrown out of the office. To be fair, seems like she was just annoyed as well, since lots of people were coming and most of them did not know about the registration thing. Withing 2 min I have seen 10 people that got sent away. By the way, this happened during off season in April.
I can understand the limit but why is it not mentioned anywhere?
Maybe they could just add some more tours since the demand seems to be very high...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent walking tour, the highlight of our trip. Be sure to get there early 9-9.30am to book your spot on the tour. Thank you Clement for being an amazing guide. Gave us such great insight, we have a much better appreciation for George Town as a result. Very helpful staff in the center also.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really disappointing system of booking onto the walking tour it is first come first served. We arrived an hour early after someone at the centre told us on a previous day it gets booked up. Even though we were there an hour early we could not get a spot on the walking tour. We extended our stay in George Town to do this tour as it only occurs on three days of the week so we had a wasted day as it was too late to book anything else on the day. I would really appeal to the management to change this system as I would not recommend anyone relies on being able to partake in this walking tour under this current arrangement. The tour is limited to 20 spaces so if a family or a small group turned up on the day it would already be pretty full. Have a back up plan if you do risk it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went on the free guided tour and it was actually one of the best tours I've been on. The guide was super knowledgeable, being a local and his family having lived through a lot of Georgetown's recent history. Gave me a much deeper insight into the heritage and the importance of certain aspects you otherwise would have missed. Get there early to make sure you reserve your space! I went at 9.45 (tour starts at 10.30 but you need to register beforehand) and I was the 7th person on the Saturday tour. They only take 20 people per tour day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly staff who are very helpful. There’s also a ton of maps, artwork, and pamphlets about events. We came here to do the free walkabout tour that starts at 10:30 am. I also recommend that!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Free tour
Took a free tour today around the city to look at the temples, historical building and learn about the history and culture. It lasted about an hour and a half and the tour guide was pretty knowledgeable and made us laugh. Would definitely recommend taking this tour if you have the time. The best part about it is that it’s free! They do the tours Tuesday Thursday and Saturday at 10:30- make sure to be there around 10am to sign up as they only take 20 people!
