Not worth the price if stock is not fresh.
Love the Bamboo Charcoal Heong Piah.
Fresh, Soft and Fragrant filling complements the outer skin.

Please forever maintain your quality and hygiene.
Do not cut corners to save costs (不要偷工減料。) Ensure each wrapper and packaging must be fully airtight.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Souvenir here was cheap and nice. Just that the lady boss here at the counter are abit 'rushy'. Her mouth is not too kind but over all is OK. Just Do not expect her to be very politely/soft/ welcoming speaking to you. And. They have the best Muruku selling here

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time try this shop recommended by an Ipoh friend. The lady owner is friendly and very good in upselling. Loose (my pic) and gift pack both are same price at RM 8. They also have some "rejected" (out of shape) at RM 5. The biscuit or heong yeah is good but missing the "char" aroma. Unsure is baked with oven or traditional coal method, the package written "baked with coal" though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Someone recommended 189 (Yat Pat Gao) to us in KL - the heong peah is cheaper than the current leading brand YH but tastier. This shop is very tiny, and the saleslady there is rather pushy.? But.. I have to give 5 stars to 189 because the heong peah is indeed tastier! The crust is flaky yet not hard in the mouth, and the filling is more fragrant and fuller than YH.
After eating 189 and YH side by side for the past 2 weeks I have to say 189 wins every time. Of course this is a matter of preference, but do give this brand a try.
