★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 蟑螂杂酱面 Waited 30 mins for 1 takeaway noodles. Food was ready but the “boss” was busy playing with the daughter, instead of serving. When we get home with extremely unhappy feelings. Look what we found. Is this a surprise? soy bean cockroach noodles? Been there many times and used to love their food. Now, will never go back again.

A cockroach kept trying to climb up our table to share a meal with us while we dined in the afternoon.
There are no official receipt and we were overcharged RM 120, had to get the staff to recalculate the meal to us to remedy it.
There are lots of great places to enjoy Sichuan meals in Kuchai Lama, this is unfortunately not one of them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This has to be one of the least flavorful Sichuan Cuisine I've ever visited. Staff were friendly and restaurant environment is so so, but the food is excruciatingly disappointing, and some even downright ridiculously priced. The 沸腾鱼 fish dish (can't remember actual English name for most the dishes) may looks scrumptious, but it's almost tasteless, not spicy nor numbing, merely salty and not to mention the entire huge bowl is just purely oil with tons of sub-par bean sprouts. The speciality beef is the worst, dried, no flavor, and only few small pieces, yet, this cost RM48! The rest of the dishes is very normal and plain, barbeque itself is lacking as well. I believe Kuchai has many good Chinese cuisine to offer, and this just doesn't worth to ever set foot on. I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone. Worst 48 buck ever spent.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very authentic north eastern BBQ skewers, well seasoning and grill to perfection. The frog legs is also must try dish here, tremendous flavour with tender meat. Service is also very good. Highly recomnended.
