β β β β β We had our own museum tour guide : YOKE. She was super friendly! She knows about everything in the museum. We actually learn something. Only RM 5 entry fees. You can take cool pictures with all the barang-barang lama dalam tu. It was a fun trip! β€

β β β β β Very informative installations on Ipoh old days, as well as replicas of how they were back then. The cafe wasnt operational during my visit due to covid-19 restriction. The toilet was indeed beautiful that it won the 'best public toilet' award from the city council. A small shop set up at the back selling trinkets and souvenirs of Ipoh art and the sorts.

β β β β β My family and I were pleasantly surprised right as we entered the place. I didn't read reviews of it nor asked for recommendations. We were with someone who is mostly only inclined towards local/ Chinese-type foods so we decided for 22 Hale Street. It turned out that the place is BEAUTIFULLY DECORATED, the service was fair (it was packed, so we have to be reasonable) and the food was delicious!! We left that place planning our next visit.

β β β β β Beautifully curated heritage space - it was a joy to examine each part of every room.
There's also a great cafe - I enjoyed the coffee and toast a lot. I came after lunch, and didn't sample any of the lunch offerings, but I would imagine that the lunch options are just as good.
The bathroom of this place is beautiful - I feel glad I went to the bathroom (which is weird to say).
The heritage space itself talks about the shophouse, the history of Ipoh and gives a glimpse of Peranakan culture - enough to feel educational but not too much that you feel overwhelmed. Pictures are allowed but flash photography is forbidden.
I loved the atmosphere of the space - definitely a solid point of reference in how to do rejuvenation of heritage spaces. Kudos to the creators of this space - it was incredibly well done and the highlight of my trip.

β β β β β If you are looking to explore deeper into the depths of Malaysian culture, this place is perfect for you! The museum is themed as a 1900s Malaysian motel/hotel. It exhibits certain Malaysian cultural items, furniture and themes.

β β β β β Worth visiting this place. Very well curated with its own history. Another side story of Ipoh. Please buy a guided tour ticket which only RM10 instead self tour ticket RM5 because you will get new information. Trust me. Just ask the tour guide. I spend more 1 hour in here. Love it.
