I love this Coffee Shop. The prawn fritters and other local Penang food is just amazing!

Great food at this unassuming coffeeshop. Char koay teow, lor bak (love the prawn crackers!), hokkien mee, roti bakar, and I love my ambra juice.

Over crowded, particularly, the fried koay teow stall. Wouldn't give it a 5 or even a 4 star rating. Wok heat ok, but taste wise and freshness of the prawns, sorry to say, are below my expectations.

In my opinion, one of the best place in Penang to have lorbak and prawn fritters. Very fragrant and the sauces are delicious as compliment. The char kuey teow is very tasty too. Crowd is quite small for a Saturday, possibly due to covid. Otherwise, it would be rather packed on weekends.

Local kopitiam as local as you can get. We like the uniquely Penang Char Koay Teow CKT. Fried fritters LoBak is popular here. Everything goes well with a cup of yummilicious Kopi aka Flat White ??

Really hands down the best lor bak ever. It’s made freshly and fried perfectly. And the lor sauce is so freakin’ amazing!!

Highlight of this place is the Penang Lor Bak, which to me is of legendary status. The meat is fantastic, and the prawn fritters, sauce and chilli are amazingly delicious! Char koay teow here is very good too!

A memorable place where once you sat for an hour waiting patiently for Hon Kei pork porridge by the two young men in white pagoda T-shirts slowly cooking one bowl at a time at this junction of Kampung Malabar with Penang Road. Armed with fame and fortune from years of sweat and pig entrails, the delicacy is now served in two shophouses down the street. In its place, this kopitiam maintains its draw with Penang lor bak and Char Koay Teow. The lor bak serves shrimp fritters from RM1.80 per biscuit with prices escalating quickly with other deep fried tofu concoctions. Char koay teow is offered without cockles but large prawns are on offer for a price. The kopitiam has a compulsory drink for seat policy and takes full advantage of unsuspecting tourists with a ridiculous RM2.20 for iced kopi, a premium of 40 sen for added tapwater ice.
