I don't know if I am rating this shop so highly because I am an ignorant tourist, but Asam Laksa is definitely one of the last foods that I will order. Not my favourite. However, my husband ordered a bowl and persuaded me to have a go. I must say that the Asam Laksa at this shop changed my impression of the dish. It was really savoury and tangy, the thickness of the rice noodles complimented the smooth soup. Very yummy. Myself, I had the Pan Mee which was also excellent. It was not overladen with ingredients ala Singapore. It was topped with what I guess was minced meat stewed with mushrooms and fried ikan bilis. The kids loved the noodles as well. The home made soybean milk was not too sweet and tasted smooth as well. Kids also loved it, which is strange for my daughter since she does not particularly like soybean milk.

Fishball had funky taste. Ice lemon tea needs to improve.

Do not eat their laksa... I had sore stomach hurts and diarrhea after eat it. The taste was okay. But safety is the most important thing for restaurants...

This asam laksa hailed from the northern state of Malaysia surprised me with their signature laksa and price. The broth is not too thick, light scent of fish smell, plenty of vegetables - onion, pineapple, mint leaves, cucumber, minced fish. Paid rm6.90 for a junior bowl of asam laksa and I am satisfied. Clean and relax place to have your meals with attentive waitresses.

Taste like home! The asam laksa and ice kacang also known as ABC are my favourite. I am from the northern part of Malaysia, the asam laksa at this stall taste exactly like how it taste at home. The price is reasonable and the staff are friendly. Highly recommended for those who would like to have a taste of northern Malaysia. You can also try their lekor fish cake. You will not regret!

Wanted to try the laksa here. Sad that 9am still not open with chairs all on table. Staffs at Ipoh Vintage opposite it more alert and fast service.

Always come here for Penang Asam Laksa, but this time came for soup pan mee. 1/5 Soup pan mee. Would not recommend the pan mee, not their specialty. Soup taste was one dimensional, not much variety, just minced meat, no egg. Did not have the typical chilli made for pan mee but maybe because it is mainly a laksa shop. Would review again for their Assam laksa when I get the chance, hopefully it's consistent. Edit: came back for the asam laksa, and it was just as good as I remembered. Added stars for your consistency. ABC was just ok, not much ingredients inside.
