★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Every dish is meticulously designed to tandalise our tast buds. Everyone who served seems to know every ingredient used to make the dish. The brief before every dish makes a whole lot difference in our dining experience. The package cost RM300 for 10 course meal. Wine pairing package offers 5 different wines at additional RM150 per person. I strongly recommend to go for wine pairing with the meal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best fine dining experience to-date. Though the night was not lead by Chef Aidan himself, but it was led by his trusted assistant, Chef Stephanie(?). Food were amazing. Local ingredients, local taste that your are familiar with served in amazing ways, cooking methods and sophisticated techniques. I book at the counter because I want to have the complete view, experience, expectations and engagement. The wine pairing is fantastic and its worth every penny. High recommend to go for the Akar Carte Blanche 13 course set and add on the wine pairing option. A journey and experience that you'll never forget. By the way, they said they'll change menu every 3 months or so. So I'll be sure to back again after CNY :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Akar Dining had certainly come along way through their modern French cuisine combining European and Asean cooking techniques influenced by local flavors and produce since my 1st visit in Sep 2020.Their ability to be voted as Top Restaurant in Malaysia 2021 by Tatler Dining Guide is a great testament . My 2nd visit here was certainly a worthwhile journey full of surprises, each dish offering layers of elements to bring out the flavors from each bite. Impeccable service, good food. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mind blown! Perfect blend of French & Malaysian cuisine, it was a culinary discovery with each plate. By far the best fusion restaurant I’ve ever had. Perfect wine pairing as well. Impeccable service and knowledgeable staffs. I highly recommend for fine food enthusiasts!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The reservation and correspondence were seamless and user friendly. I appreciate the restaurant’s initiative to consider the restriction and dietary needs of their patrons. Kudos!! The degustation menu consists of a 10-course meal with 5 appetisers, 2 mains and 3 desserts that were tempting and scrumptious. My favourites for the night were terroir, ikejime pomfret, bidara, slow-roasted jicama, clay pot rice and squid ink sorbet. The food brings a lot of familiar local flavours but with a spin to it. Everyone enjoyed the meal, and it was refreshing to see that budding Malaysians elevating our local cuisine

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had the seasonal carte Blanche with wine pairing. Food and service are above average compared to similar establishments. Flavours were nicely balanced so not to overpower the freshness and quality of the produce. Standout dishes were the sweet potato, snapper and lamb rack. If you would like to be seated at the counter, so note that there are only 4 seats available so do book in advance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you're looking for a quiet hidden gem serving good crafted food, look no further. The chefs in akâr serve creative, delicious and well plated dishes that are so worth your hard earned penny.
The service is attentive and impeccable, and you won't even realise you've spent 2 hours just dining and drinking away.
I'm really glad there's such a great place so close to where we live. Looking forward to many more dinners here. ?
