Fine dining. Environment is nice, but food very disappointed.

The restaurant got a nice ambience and beautiful place. Very European style. But the food is lousy. Cod fish served is cold. Complaint to the waiter, and brought back another cold dish. Only the third time, brought back the hot one. Not many variety to choose from. The quality of food does not match the price paid. The waiter service is bad. Waiters not available around the restaurant. I saw table next to us, the first dish not even finished, the next dishes already served. Brownie is actually not brownies. It is a chocolate cake.

I had lunch and a mini birthday celebration at Arte 66 on 2.4.2022. The ambience, as many people had pointed out, was amazing, detailed, grand and left me wanting to travel. 5 star. The food. I had the Black Angus Tenderloin 180gm medium well done, mushroom soup and cake of the day. As a person who regularly cook and consume steak at home, the tenderloin was prepared wonderfully. I don't enjoy sweets of any kind but their cake was alright. 5 star. However, the highlight of my rating and review is Mr. Sam Chin, the Food and Beverage Director of Arte 66. Mr. Sam was always ready to help and genuinely keen to serve the customers. I personally received a tour by Mr. Sam that was filled with history and information on all the ornaments, interior, flooring, ceiling and every nook and cranny contained within Arte 66. I have to say that Mr. Sam is passionate about what he does, informed to the core on what he does & what Arte 66 represents and cares about his customer's satisfaction. Mr. Sam also shared interesting details and efforts made by Thomas Chan in order for Arte 66 to exist. Lastly, thank you Mr. Sam for humoring my partner when it comes to taking photos. 5 star.

Hi Thank you for your prompt service at the restaurant floor, dining and bar (also via whatsapp replies) Let me just get it straight to the point; Food 1. Since we went yesterday (December), they served only December Christmas Lunch Set. The choice was limited compared to Executive Lunch Sets. 2. Starters. There was only 3 choices (French Onion Soup, Seared Dive Scallop and Seared Foie Gras with Orange peeled mousse) *Scallops was slightly cold *Seared Foie Gras to me in my opinion, it was not balanced. Foie Gras was good, seared well crusted on the outside, custard like texture on the inside. The sides was too much jelly like texture (orange mousse (too buttery and acidity was not there) and ginger jelly cut in cubes, also sliced and placed on a very small round toasted bread) was not proportionate with the foie gras. *this comment is based on my experience with Foie gras starters in many other restaurants. Equal portion of Foie gras of soft and hard crunchy texture is an excellent combo. Arte's Foie gras starters was not up to my expectation. Score 5/10 3. Main Course. With my personal choice of Australian Wagyu, served with side of Pomme Puree, Cauliflower, Brussel Sprouts & a side of caramelised onion sauce. It was ok. Again, not up to my expectation. I am a meat lover, and my Wagyu which i specifically ask for Medium, but the Wagyu they served was Medium Raw.. was not that great and not that bad. Just so-so. Pomme puree was pungent and sharp *not creamy and was not a delight* only finished quarter of it. Side vegetables was good. Score 5/10 4. Dessert. Oh gosh, the Christmas delight dessert is just a small rectangular cut shape of a chocolate sponge cake with chocolate icing on the top?? *with small half cuts of grapes* with i think spots of grape puree? The top chocolate icing was detached from the spongecake. Tried cutting through from the top, the hard icing fell of the cake. Spongecake was dry. Thanks for the puree to make it better(* doesn't look like a fresh baked cake) Was really disappointed with the dessert. (It is just the cake btw) Score 2/10 5. Drinks. As usual, expected overpriced drink menus. Again, I have many experience in the coffee industry especially the third wave coffee. Their overpriced coffee, Latte for RM 28 w/o tax or service charge ?? ;P. The coffee was just like the average cafe serving latte, and even the average cafe serving latte used good coffee beans but charge at a reasonable price. This is my preference when it comes to buy a RM28 coffee. (It has to be from a single origin roasted beans (medium roast), Farmhouse freshmilk, with at least a Rosetta art design on the latte, and perfect balance of heat, acidity and creaminess). Arte's latte has no Rosetta art (presentation FAIL), taste so-so. You should hire a proper Barista to at least present and make good coffee for that price of a coffee. Score 3/10 December Christmas Lunch Set. Estimated RM208++ per person Taste : 6/10 Price : 4/10 (Overpriced with the food served/limited choices) *additional 10% service charge and 6% SST Restaurant Ambiance Interior Outlook : 8/10 Cleanliness : 7/10 *(dust on table decorative, stains on display plates on the table) The place itself is beautiful, a great place to catch up with your loved ones for a quick luxury and opulence environment. Food taste wise was not that great like a high end michelin star restaurant and most of the listed food items are overpriced. Not really worth it if you want to experience a 'french cuisine cooked by a french chef in France' per say . The restaurant and bar itself just turns into a magical place because of their interior detailing of Versailles like, over the top opulence with 'painted' (more of printed then painted a bit) ceilings, bourgeois settings, etc etc,. Really good for photos for a change. Overall score for Arte 66 Restaurant & Bar : 6/10 *my scoring reflects food taste more than environment/ambiance Again lastly, this is my opinion and review on my experience at Arte 66. Gives you the feeling of dining in France itself. The stunning luxurious well architectured ambiance brings you back to the Renaissance period and followed by The Baroque and Rocco period. The food was well curated and infused with its flavours of its original recipe. We (7 of us), thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at our dearest friend's birthday lunch. The staff was helpful especially a gentleman who patiently took photos of us at every opportunity we could as well as a tour of the dining venue by Mr Sam. Thank you.

Food: 1/5 Service: 3/5 Ambience: 5/5 How can I say. It is very disappointing disappointing dinner. With the price paid I can get better tasting food at cafe. Also, this is the first fine dining food I experienced served separately and not at once for 7pax. One person have their food while other have to wait around 5 mins for theirs. This is all the food expect only the final cheese cake. Which I have a better one few days later at a cafe. For the service, it is very average to disappointing. Again for the price paid I don't think I am expecting this average of a service. For the ambience needless to say it is good. The design and architecture is done nicely. Edit: one other thing. Our dinner session was 8pm session and we arrived on time. After the cheesecake was served. Not long later we were asked to leave as the waiter need to clean the tables. I mean we have ordered wine for drinking. Just clean and let us chill for a while more? The session is only roughly 2 hours or less.

We stayed for three days and two nights at the hotel. We booked for lunch to have a birthday celebration. The restaurants are beautifully and lavishly decorated. The lighting are very romantic. The tasteful artwork and table setting. The food is exceptional! Very tasty and well prepared and you can chose among the set menu options. The service at the place and the server is friendly with the guests and always takes care to offer the best quality. I highly recommend this restaurant.
