N	Nashad Emir on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a wonderful stay. Budi and Tony were the perfect host: very friendly and helpful. We felt like we have visited and stayed with old friends. The room was very clean and everything functioning well. Meals were delicious and generous portions. The beach was very quiet and clean. Will certainly visit these guys again, soon I hope.????

I should preface, however, that we also spent the evening in exceptional circumstances - we were the only guests and cannot comment on sound insulation and what the ordinary experience of sharing the space with other guests may be like. However, service was attentive. Tony and Budi were gracious hosts who balanced warm hospitality and personable interaction with a delicate understanding for our need for privacy. We also benefited greatly from their intimate knowledge of the area, discovering the best lekor kitchen perhaps in the state. Facilities here are all brand new, the rooms are very clean, and as it is a passion project of both Tony and Budi’s, the space has a wonderful individualist charm that large hotel chains cannot offer. For long stays, the space is ideal given it is a short walk to the beach and an ideal stopover for several islands and even Kenyir lake. Tony, from his breakfast offering, is also a wonderful cook. The reviews for this space has been excellent with good reason, we did wonder to ourselves if we should have booked for a longer stay. We were halfway through a small adventure around the peninsula, and Alaya Malai is one of the highlights of our trip.

P	Philip Dodd on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We love Alaya Malai and have stayed many times. But this was the first time back since Covid and lockdowns. Alaya Malai was excellent as usual. It was very clean and very easy to socially distance even in the shared spaces. The owners have been busy during lockdown and renovated the pool surrounds so there is lots of space for several groups of people to sit. They cooked us a delicious meal one evening and were as kind, gracious and friendly as always. We will certainly be back now we can travel within Malaysia again.

They get your luggage to the designated room, go through the bookings, get the breakfast choice done and instantly make you feel warm. We loved the place, the environment which was peaceful and calming and most of all Budi & Tony. We're thankful to Budi for accommodating my requests for dinner at the place as it was a weekend away for my wife's birthday. He even went on to suggest and offered to do a romantic dinner set up for us at the balcony overseeing the beach and the beautiful night sky. My wife and i truly enjoyed the stay there. Tony's food is amazing! The dinner was a western cuisine + British dessert. The breakfast was wholesome, fruits, pancakes, waffles, coffee, scrambled eggs sausages. It was all fresh! Budi also assisted us with booking the boat transfer to P.Redang for a day trip and was always there to check on us to make sure we were good. What we liked most about this place is the people. Budi and Tony also have another helper(usually in the background ?), they are very welcoming and made us feel at home. Every time we came back from our explore, they'd greet us and make conversation about the experience and even suggest places to visit. This place is an all inclusive vacation home for anyone who wants to enjoy a quiet, peaceful and calming holiday. Ps: they have a generously sized pool with jacuzzi ?

In addition, dinner (chicken pie) and breakfast that's prepared for us ,is just simply awesome. The pancake is to die for! Thanks T&B for the lovely hospitality.

Tony and Budi are welcoming and attentive hosts making for a very relaxing stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
