D	Dominik Hock on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Huge disappointment!! We booked for nine nights (Christmas & New Year) and were highly disappointed by the first day onwards. Why? - The room was not properly cleaned before (dirty bedsheets, spiderwebs in the bathroom, dirty corners) - The internet was not working during the whole stay in our room (room number 206) - Both bedside lamps were not working either - The walls are not soundproofing at all. You can hear everything through the walls, which can be very annoying. - The corridor and staircase were mostly dirty and not properly cleaned for a long time We complained the first morning, asking for better cleaning, fixing of the internet and, if possible, for a different room. The cleaning was done similar to the previous and for all other points, we were excused with the reason of the holiday season. Even a few days later, when other guests left and we asked again for a different room, we were first told yes, but finally didn't get the chance to move. The bedside lamps were dismantled after the fifth day but never installed again. Room 206 is a corner room and seems to be only used when all other rooms are fully booked. The neighbour room 205 (same room category) offers much better room partitioning. Unfortunately, we made this bad experience this time. To others, we can only recommend looking out for different options, especially if You plan for a longer stay in Penang.
