★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a skin cancer removed using MOHs micrographic surgery recently under Dr Adrian, wound has healed up with minimal scar. Highly recommend this Dermatological Surgeon trained in the UK. Recommended my wife with pigmentation on face and it cleared nicely after 2 visits one month apart. Doctor is updated with the latest technology. My wife's friend did fat freezing treatment and found the price to be very reasonable (costing double in another centre I enquired!) and have already starting seeing results after just one treatment, looking forward to the final result.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Called this clinic to book an appointment and they proceed to tell me that I can try to just get a walk-in appointment on Thursday. Didn't even try to give me a time slot for an appointment.
I ended up waiting for an hour and watch as 10 other people just walk in because they already had appointments scheduled.
To the clinic:
1. If there is already so many appointments scheduled, why did your receptionist say I can walk in?
2. Since there were so many appointments scheduled already, why didn't they just tell me when I arrived there?? Instead I wasted an hour just POINTLESSLY waiting.
Don't go to this clinic. It's operated by clowns.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good experience. Surgery was done very well, my nail no longer hurts and there is minimal scarring. Two years ago, had laser here for my pigment and moles with excellent results. My husband who was diagnosed with skin cancer by a non-specialist in another hospital had his lesion treated here with liquid nitrogen at a fraction of the cost of surgery and healed perfectly without a scar!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was googing for a dermatologist and saw this name popping up suddenly remembered a terrible experience with this Clinic. Although its a very late review but still important to share my experience with others.
Went there for my skin tag treatment sometime ago. Without any discussion about my skin health in general or having any proper conversation, the Doctor rushed to tell me the price to scissor the tags on my armpit and cheek. I was told during the procedure that tag on eye should be removed using laser but not today. And again it’s expensive - gave an impression he was judging my ability to pay for it.
I had no clue when the procedure was done because Doctor suddenly disappeared without saying a word. And staff was just looking at me as though waiting for me to leave.
Well, put on my cloths and staff point me out to the counter.
Cards were not accepted so had to walk to ATM to withdraw money. Paid and collected an antibiotic cream.
“Is that all?” Can I see the Doctor I have half dozen of questions. You can ask me, the receptionist said. “Ok, sure: can I wash the wound immediately or wait for sometime and how long? “ i think should be Ok la”, “will the tags come back? Or anything I can do prevent them? … Finally she let see the Doctor again but Doct was not happy to see me again. The same unwelcome and unfriendly look.
By far the worst interaction with any Doctor in my life.
Unless, there are no other Dermatologist left in Malaysia, I will neither visit nor recommend to anyone else.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ AY's opening hours lends it good convenience for patients - they are even open on a Saturday evening, could not locate other clinics open at that time. Treatment received was effective in solving the issue I presented with.
However, could do better with transparency - providing more granularity with all receipts issued post treatment. It must be itemized - consultation charges, brand name of medication, unit price etc. (Update: This is provided on request)
Label all medications appropriately, with generic name, brand name, strength.
Also, despite having an appointment made and being on time, had to wait almost an hour before my turn.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very straightforward, to the point treatments that work. Reasonable charges for facial, laser and HIFU through personal experience of having had treatment here (my whole family is very happy with the results they achieved) - exactly as the doctor has described and more in my case. Strongly recommend for effective and affordable solution to many skin conditions. Doctor was very dedicated in finding out the root cause of our problems before treating, not just treat the symptoms only to have it recur as we have experienced in many other places.

B. The doctor could have been more transparent with the treatment without patients having to ask thorough questions
C: The doctor could have informed patients about the pros and cons of continued use of steroids which I have learnt now, increases susceptibility to other skin infections due to weakened immune system
Background
1. I had dyshidrotic eczema on my fingers and fungal infection on my forehead and ear. I also formed infection on my legs which the doctor diagnosed as eczema, The doctor was attentive at first
2. I was prescribed with an ointment that contained steroids but wasn't informed it contained steroids
3. The ointment helped with the eczema on my fingers for awhile, The fungal infection on my forehead and my legs cleared
4. I kept using the ointment on my fingers due to recurring eczema. Eventually formed another infection on my leg
5. Went to see the doctor who took a short glance at my leg and diagnosed it as eczema again and prescribed the same treatment
6. I went to see the doctor a second time when the first visit did not help. Was prescribed the same treatment despite lower efficacy
7. Infection did not go away - went to get a second opinion. Turns out it was a fungal infection and I wasn't being treated with anti fungal which I should have. Additionally, the ointment made it unrecognizable as a fungal infection but the second doctor did a scrape test to confirm. I also found out the ointment contained steroids from the second doctor
7. I found a different clinic and stopped returning to this one

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Followed Dr AY from UMMC when it was RM15 per visit… very unfortunately for me now private practice is much more expensive but understandable as doctors also need to survive…
Dr AY is experienced and no-nonsense, so most visit with him is very quick. The only dermatologist who made the correct diagnosis in my 6yrs journey of suffering skin conditions??; he was also careful in prescribing steroids as treatment, making sure there’s minimal side effects. Now I no need to take steroids any more so am happy with the results.
Personally dislike spending too long time in the clinic so the interpersonal communications offered is acceptable to my standard. Have also recommended others to see dr AY for the treatments on autoimmune disorders-related chronic skin conditions.
