This is a crowded non-airconditioned dim sum restaurant in Butterworth. Its dim sum is largely adapted to local tastes, worth pondering how it evolved to be how it is today. Plenty of offerings not found in traditional hong kong dim sum fare or is an evolution.

1) overall - okay environment, ok service for Chew Chuen Dim Sum
2) dim sum - standard selection and the tastes were all okay only except for egg tart. A little overrated on the taste.
3) fried sang Mee - not worth the price with only noodle, a few pieces of fish cakes, no fresh ingredient, all processed. It was very salty too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very popular morning dim sum restaurant in town. A lot of varieties. Self service. Customers choose and carry the dishes to their table. After eating, signal one of the staff to calculate the bill and you pay him at your table. Taste of food is acceptable and prices reasonable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Price is cheap for a dim sum breakfast because it is self service. My favorite fish ball that is tasty and soft. You still can order others dish that not in the menu like fried noodle.
No doubt, due to improve on fast service some food is little bit cold but still can be compromise for the good taste.
This is the old shop that maintained the old taste while the new shop had slightly change due to over crowded. At least I can easily find a seat here.
