★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staying at this place has been the most amazing vacation I've had in a LOOONG time. The rooms are small, but also clean, cozy and comfortable. The food is GREAT, with a different dish every meal (be sure to try the lamb!) as well as a steady supply of fresh chilled fruit juices to cool off after a hot day in the sun.
And speaking of the sun, the environment here is top tier. Sandy beaches, crystal clear water... if you rent a snorkel mask from the counter, you can swim out to see fish and corals literally a few meters away from the hotel! There's also other activities like scuba diving and trekking if you're interested in doing something a little more active.
Aside from all that, I also have to mention the customer service. Shout out to Yuen and all the other staff for doing their best to make our stay as fun and comfortable as possible. They even modified my meals after learning that I was diabetic. I really appreciated it!
The only real downside I'd give is that the wifi here is kinda unstable. I had to leave my room and come out to the dining area if I wanted to watch Youtube. But honestly, it's not that big a deal. After all, why would you come all the way to the beach just to play on your phone?
All in all, I'd give Beach Box Perhentian a 10/10. This is the perfect tropical beach getaway for anyone who wants to chill out and enjoy a nice, relaxing vacation. I'll definitely be visiting it again in the future!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A stay at the Beach Box is like visiting a good friend’s or a relative’s vacation beach house. This is basically how I can summarize our experience during our stay at BeachBox.
We felt so well taken cared of and personally looked after as if we’re family. Nico & Yuen (owners & operators), together with Nina & Halim are just amazing! They are welcoming & warm, attentive without being intrusive, very proactive to your needs and most importantly - SINCERE in what they do. From booking to our arrival, our stay and until we depart, Yuen and Nico were so easy to communicate with and were always ready to answer any of our questions & offer help if needed.
Rooms are bright and sunny, clean and spacious. The bathrooms are clean, with amenities a plenty, space good enough to shower with the entire family ? We had the family room and it’s perfect for a family with 2-3 kids!
Food is incredible! Ahhh, I didn’t expect such amazing food in Perhentian - lamb in bamboo, roasted duck, chili crabs... just look at the pics! We definitely gained a few pounds and they were worth it ?
We really really enjoyed our stay here and love its boutique concept! Our girls had already asked us to go back and visit BeachBox again... and we would definitely do on our next visit to Perhentian! ❤️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had an incredible time staying here. I went with 3 other girls and stayed in the family room. The beds were really comfortable, and there's a gorgeous view that can be seen from the room balconies and downstairs alfresco dining. The bathroom is split so that you can shower while other people can still use the sink and hair dryer. Even the shampoo and the body wash they provided smelt great.
In terms of dining, the food here is HANDS DOWN the best you'll get on the island. We had breakfast and dinner here several times during our stay and the food is amazing in general. They use the freshest ingredients and put a lot of thought into each ingredient. I was the only vegetarian and the vegetarian dishes they served were great. My favourite was the eggplant. They haven't officially opened up their set menu, but once they do I'll definitely be coming back.
The best part of my whole stay was the service. The owner, Nina and Nick were friendly, helpful and warm. They went beyond and really tied up the whole experience. If you ask for tips or help from the owner, he will wholeheartedly give you best advice to make your trip even better.
A must visit!!

We arrive late in the day. Nico and staff greet us and take our luggage from the boat to the hotel. We relax on the veranda and our complementary beverage this time is a fresh chilled coconut. There is a slight breeze and waves wash up on the shore in front of us. Clear blue water and puffy cotton ball clouds over other islands in the distance. It is such a pleasant and relaxing feeling – it’s like coming home again. Come for the comfortable room, accommodations and beautiful surroundings – definitely stay for the food!
Nico is a master chef and every meal is a delightful and tasty pleasure. A unique mix of local and international flavours that no recipe or cookbook can imitate, each dish is expertly prepared and presented.
We planned to stay for 3-4 days....we kept extending into the following week because it is so pleasant and hard to say good bye.
There will be a next time.

The room was great, absolute worth the price. It’s just few steps away to the beach, and the beach view.
Very chilling environment, I love the food served too.
Overall I had a great experience staying Beachbox, will definitely be back for their room, services & food again! ? highly recommended.

Highly recommended given 1) beatifully laid out rooms - especially the upstairs room with a great view of the ocen, 2) friendly staff and owner - almost feels like a second home, and 3) great food. Left our beach gears there so we go back next year.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An unassuming box on the beach is a cozy gem. The resort has 9 rooms. It has by far, the tastiest food on the islands although you are given what is on the menu of the day, it is delicious. From Beach Box's bar and restaurant you can watch the sun set. Flanked on either side are dive centers. The beach is littered with coral, it's best to walk about in booties. The corals just off the beach are ok, some still surviving and signs of revival. The owner and manager and the staff are very friendly and helpful and makes this place very special. It's not much to look at on the outside but the rooms are great, ac, hot water, fan, TV but most importantly it's CLEAN.
