β β β β β I recently bought a few teas in KL's Pavillion branch for a little fortune. The tea overall was disappointing. The Earl Grey, which came at 164 Rm per 100g was apparently already stored for so long, it did not even smell of Bergamotte anymore. So was the Pouchkin, which is supposed their signature. Overall NO comparison with the excellent quality of the TWG tea's. Disappointing really...

β β β β β Expected better. Had the afternoon tea set. Menu stated that you have 90 mins to ask for refills of the scones, madeleines and sandwiches. We werent even 30mins in and they informed us that they were out of scones, madeleines and sandwiches. Should have informed us that before we ordered. Felt cheated. The food and tea was mediocre. Staff was inattentive. Waited a long time for sandwich refills. I did not enjoy my dining experience here. Wont return.

β β β β β Excellent retail experience. Shop is elegant and beautiful. Was bedazzled by the wonderful ambiance. Staffs were also friendly, engaging and enthusiastic. Recommendation of tea from a vast selection of flavours were sincere and guided with a heart of service. Would definitely love to try the cafe some time. Betjeman and Barton definitely lives up to it's name of quality! Keep up the good work :)
