A mountain full of inedible sugary rocks which has no other purpose besides curating pretty photos for social media and being abandoned after 1 bite each of 3 desserts. Although they might serve unappetising afternoon tea, I do see the appeal of this lounge given the prime location and elegant setting. Personally this would be my first and last try as I canโ€™t put up with the mismatch between the quality and price point when there are many options for high tea in KL.

Dinner at the Lounge on The Park was disappointing. Service was below par with us having to literally do a Mexican wave to attract the waiters who were skillful in avoiding eye contact. With all the hype and exorbitant price that Mandarin Oriental charges their service was terrible. A local mamak restaurant gives you better service than this! No waiter to direct you to your table, no one to even greet and ask about your reservation. Waitress avoiding eye contact and then actually giving excuses that they dont have enough staff. Management should either close their doors or do something if you lack staff not give that excuse to your customers. Can we then say we lack funds and pay a lesser price, definitely not hence please provide the kind of service you bill us for.

Unpleasant experience. Booked their Afternoon Tea to celebrate Motherโ€™s Day. When we arrived there, the staff took her own sweet time to slowly walk to us to confirm our reservation. Only told there was no high tea reserved for us when we sat down. Before I departed, I called 4 times to make reservation and had confirmed again and again that we will have 4 sets of afternoon tea. At the end they can only make us 2 sets. Dessert is above average. But boba on the panna cotta was uncooked, and the bread was extremely dry. Do think wisely if you are planning to have your high tea here and perhaps call for more than 4 times to secure your booking.

We had the worse Christmas afternoon tea at here. Service was horrible! Staffs were unhappy and not warmth at all. Service was extremely slow! I need to wave them to fill up the water for my tea, carrot juice did not come after 30mins later, scones were crispy like a cookie, desserts (tho looking nice), they were sweet like hell! Like i just got stricken by diabetics! YUCKS! totally horrible tasting afternoon tea for a 5 star hotel. My gawd. Don't come here if you are not someone who likes a bag of 1kg sugar on the plate. I had never had such disgusting afternoon tea from a 5 star. RItz carlton does better than them 100x better. RM158nett per pax is totally not worth. Totally disappointed!

We went for HIGH TEA, but end up with a "low" tea. We walked in no one offered for a seat and once we sat down no offering of a menu, and when menu arrived not the requested high Tea menu. This high Tea offers mostly flavored teas not teas from different origins. The food tasted super sweet. Better check high teas from for example Ritz-Carlton hotel. compare it and you will see what the difference is between HIGH TEA and the LOW tea standards of the Mandarin. Not worth a single penny.

Nice environment with nice view on the klcc park. But disappointing in the little sweets and bites coming with the hightea.. and disappointed that the staff did not have any knowledge about the view tea options they offer, didn't know the origins of the tea (with one exception - sencha from Japan) and even offered such cheap special teas as flavoured strawberry tea

THE WORST HOTEL DINE-IN EXPERIENCE EVER! POOR MANAGEMENT AND SERVICE We are a group of coworkers who organized a farewell party for our boss on the 15th of January at 230 pm in the Mandarin Oriental's Lounge on the Park. My colleague had made the reservation months in advance, and I arrived at the venue at 2.21 p.m. today (refer MySejahtera check-in). At the entrance, we were greeted by a Chinese lady who was lovely and inviting. I was amazed by the interior design as well. My companion and I were placed at the table for 8 people (on the left side of the lounge) (we were a group of 25 people.) The nightmares began as soon as we sat down. 1-The cushions were sinkingย and sagging. It was unbearably unpleasant. I switched seats with all of my friends, and the cushions were all the same. And after sitting for a while, one of my friends, who has a slipped disc, developed pain. 2-The staff begin taking orders. We ask about the tea with the lady with short hair who attends to our table (She wears nametag: Halimaton) and is served in a cup or a pot. She said it would serve in a pot, and she REPEATEDLY said that the pot could not be shared. We were stunned by her answer because we didn't ask whether or not we may share it. She speaks in an unpleasant tone as if she was mocking us. We already know, and we don't need to be reminded REPEATEDLY as if we're idiots. It was frustrating. She should be aware of the situation. She was speaking to an audience of adults, not children. 3-Please keep in mind that we came at 2:20 p.m. And we didn't get the food until 4 p.m.! All other tables, including those who came after us, were already served. We spoke with the staff a few times. The lady staff (Hana and Nguyen) responds with the standard "I'll check" response. They haven't provided any updates. We were left hanging and starving in the corner of the lounge. When my friend spoke with the manager, Firdaus, he informed him that the sandwich bread had run out. This is entirely unacceptable, considering we had previously made a reservation. The crew should plan ahead of time and serve promptly. We might as well walk in because the walk-ins are served first! The staff are unprofessional. At 421 pm, All seven of us left the Mandarin Oriental Lounge by the Park hungry, disappointed, and frustrated. This is the worst hotel dining experience I've ever had.
