β β β β β When we think about celebrations, DC restaurant is always our first option and it never disappoints. From the starter to the dessert the quality and tastes of everything was outstanding. Service was delightful and very professional in the past 4-5 times of experience.
DC restaurant is my absolute favorite restaurant in KL ,We always delighted with our meals !
This time we decided to give a try to Bref KL which also by Darren Chin for our Valentineβs Day dinner . Bref KL is about 1 km away from DC restaurant .
We had the Valentineβs Day Course meal and the food is absolutely amazing β each course being prepared without losing the original taste of the ingredients ,everything we had melted in our mouths.
The staff made us feel welcomed ,They truly cares about our experience including our photo shooting ? , they were absolutely friendly and amazing .
I recommend to everyone!

β β β β β Fantastic dining experience at bref. Style is very similar to DC. Our table ordered a mixture of the 4 course dinner menu and also the a la carte. Started off with oysters which were super fresh and sweet. Must try. Other honourable mentions were the truffle pasta and the herb crusted lamb.
We also ordered the 5 variation cheese for dessert and asked to be served with extra strong cheese and blue cheese. A bit of a let down as all the cheese were very very mild. Bref should improve on their selection of cheeses but overall a good dining experience. Service was superb
Edit: Revisited In December 2021 (last 2 pics). Lamb was still as good as ever. Truffle pasta (was informed by server that pappardelle was switched to spaghetti for the night - spaghetti wasnβt handmade) was good but you could tell the truffle used was smaller sized. There was also a price hike compared to last visit, even though portion remained the same.

β β β β β Impressed by the food! Didnβt try their fine dining menu this round but will definitely return to give it a try!
In love with every dish that we ordered tbh. I canβt pick a favourite.
The foie gras was good! Even my friends who hasnβt tried it before loved it.
I also loved how refreshing the appetiser is, unfortunately donβt remember the name but the seafood that goes with it was amazing at each bite.
Their lamb was cooked perfectly and each slice we made just makes us drool.
Pasta was so yums - Iβd lick the plate clean if I could.
Service was as expected, coming from a fine dining set up. The place is cosy and nice - perfect for any kinds of celebration.

β β β β β Thursday night experience at Bref TTDI
The food is yum. We want to ordered the main course unfortunately a few dishes is finished and couldnβt proceed so we ordered ala carte.
The bread is really yum.
Foie Gras Terrine - RM75
Diver Clam and fresh crab chowder - RM58
Creamy Jerusalem Artichoke - RM40
Cherry Valley Duck breast - RM120
Seabream (ocean fish) - RM88
European cheese platter - RM88
The cleanliness and hygiene is tip top ??
The table that we ate is dirty all the time due to we share and messy around. Waiter is helpful and clean all the time and we always get a new tissue. Very appreciated their hard work.
Overall 10:10 for this restaurant. Even though is hard to make a reservation.

β β β β β It was a celebratory dinner to celebrate our first time dining out after the lockdown. The ambience of the restaurant was lovely, and the service was prompt. Food-wise it was flavorful and goodβa delightful and enjoyable dinner. The star of the night was the charred cauliflower and the truffle pasta!! Kudos for having vegetarian options.

β β β β β Mains:
1. Australian Wagyu (5β) - perfect tenderness
2. Canadian lobster (5β) - perfect
3. Papardelle Umami XL (5β) - they ran out of papardelle and gave us normal pasta. Generous portion of truffle, very flavourful
4. Trout (4β) - pretty good, carries a slightly smoky flavour on the skin
5. Duck (4β) - slightly rarer side, meat was good but fats also unchewable
6. Lamb (3β) - some parts undercooked, rubbery and unchewable
7. Linguine ala Vongole (3β) - lots of clams but flavour-wise so-so
Entrees: Brefs Cold Cappellini, Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Norwegian Salmon, Oysters, Bread - all 5 β
Desserts:
Pistachio Paris-Brest (5β)
Signature Choc Dome (4β)
Charcoal & Black Sesame (4β)
Overall: 4β
Good dining experience but when you pay RM400+ a head you expect perfection. Was disappointed to see a fly around our table. Also, the waiter did not tell us they ran out of pappardelle, and just swapped it out for regular pasta. Very unprofessional for a 'fine-dining' restaurant.
