★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good service.. Side dishes were quite good.. For the main meal, felt like too many peanuts were added in.. Though to be fair, i dont really know what to expect for 'mala' dishes (first time eating it, and not to my taste)
They have even entertained our request of menu changes even when the foods are already out (due to misunderstanding during orders)
They are very friendly and courteous
Kudos to the owners and workers

Just a bit disappointed with the spicy level.
Came here bcause i saw the ad 'can you handle the spiciness ' etc somewhere online.
Took the highest level, but still quite mild.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was kinda okay but maybe it's because I had high expectations on it. The spice level was a bit weird because baby mala (level 0 spicy) and level 2 spicy was almost the same. We literally waited 50 mins for our milk infused drinks and it literally arrived when we finished our food. Wouldn't come here again tbh unless there's some sort of improvement or new menu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time tried it, but not that nice. Thought it was that good based on reviews & hype. Maybe doesn't fit my taste buds. But for sure my fried lotus it was soggy & tough, maybe it was cooked earlier and wasn't placed in a tight air container. Such a pity and sloppy thing to do. Took long time for me to get my dishes though my family was the only people in the restaurant. Heuheuheu. The worst is from one dish to another this took long time to arrive so cant really combined the food together. A big cut off to my appetite.
But oh man, the portion is generous, so don't order so much yea gang! ? indeed it is spicy, so prepare your bowels & toilet bowls LOL
The price is quite exorbitantly priced especially the drinks, but only for some dishes.
Okay, babai.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Do you ever crave Mala or sichuan food but either don’t have people to go with to share those big plates nor do you have the time to sit down and eat for a while?
Cuz that’s why I appreciate the more fast casual places like Malatoop where you can customize the dish, serving size, and spice level all while satisfying the craving for those spicy and numbing flavors we all know and love.
I came here with my siblings and our favorites were the Spiced Kambing Bao which was savory and didn’t taste like gamey lamb at all. (RM17)
The chicken wings we tried both Mala and Salted Egg - both delicious (RM16)
And best of all their signature seafood combo bowl which came with crunchy fish, crispy prawn fritters, mussels, crab stick, fish ball, brocolli, mushroom, bok choy corn and noodles. Spicy but addicting. RM25
Between the spicy bites, we used the golden baos and this condensed milk sauce RM9 and their signature milk drinks to cool our taste buds.
Even if you can handle spicy, their level 3 is truly a CHALLENGE so maybe go for level 2 ?
