ordered the omakase lunch set which costs RM200 per pax the overall experience was awful starter was so bland and the chawanmushi was worse than those what is usually included in normal Japanese lunch set, same goes to miso soup, those free flow miso soup is even better than theirs and for the sushi, all I can taste is salty salty and salty feel like the ingredients were kept for a long time and especially the squid was so sticky hygiene wise, we had got a little companion (fly) throughout the session :)

Ordered the Unagi Rice 4-ways. It was grilled nicely and it tasted nice. The soup that came with it was nice too. Also ordered few sushis to try and they were OK. But the blue fin tuna sushi had part that's quite hard to chew. The staffs are friendly and polite. Although they accidentally seated other guests on my reservation, they quickly created a place for us. The chawanmushi was nice too but it's taking long to serve. Prices are above average.

Had Omakse and it was really good. Everything was fresh especially the oyster. Chef and staff were really friendly and entertaining. Great place to have a fun filled dinner! Can't wait to try their 5kg crab the owner (I think) recommended..

Yesterday is the first time for me to eat Omakase. I didn't expect it to be unexpectedly delicious! This made me have a good impression of Omakase. Chef fong and Chef Ken are very friendly and patient in explaining each dish. Today is also my birthday, and they specially prepared a small cake for me. The environment is very good, and there are not many people. The food is really satisfactory, delicious and the service is very good. I will definitely come here again!??

Went here for lunch and we went with the "Omakase Hagi Course". Chefs were friendly and wiling to explain the details of food served. If you reserve a counter seat at Hagi, please dine on time or otherwise you will be asked to move to individuals table from the counter seat.

*Visit my insta @janefoodbaby for more! Wanted to book for other restaurants on the same row but unfortunately they were all fully booked, so we went to Hagi instead. The entire area was so terrible for parking! Very limited parking space and road was narrow? The ambience of the restaurant is very chill and cozy and dining area is spacious. Staff service was great throughout our meal there, very attentive and accomodating. Food (ala-carte) was average and overpriced though. The first thing they promoted was the festive omakase meal priced at MYR 988++ for two ? We all decided to go for ala carte menu instead. Food/Price: 1. Salmon Carpaccio (MYR 35) - this tastes like those Chinese dai chau steamed fish but made more atas ? probably cause of the taste of soy sauce + ginger. Not too bad! Generous amount of ikura too. 2. Avocado gratan (MYR 20) - creamy avocado w/nicely torched cheese and prawn. Portion too small tho. 3. Eihire Yaki (MYR 25) - Grilled stingray fin recommended by staff. Nothing special, texture quite hard, just a snack to munch on. 4. Hosomaki - Kappa (MYR 8); Tamago (MYR 9). Also nothing special, just some rice to keep our tummy full ? 5. Surumeika Yaki (MYR 55) - Whole squid recommended by staff. Nicely grilled, but wish there was more flavor to it. Must eat with the sauce otherwise it's too bland. Texture wasn't too chewy ? 6. Mentaitama Don (MYR 22) - Grilled mayo on omelette w/rice. Also nothing too special, just usual sweet omelette with rice. 7. Bara Chirashi Don (MYR 68) - Generous amount of assorted sashimi cubes and ikura. Definitely a better choice than #6 8. Nigiri - Amaebi (MYR 20), Kanpachi (MYR 14), Madai (MYR 16), Shima-aji (MYR 16), Hotate (MYR 20) - I personally did not try this so I can't comment, but those who ordered and tried these said they were very fresh. I find it odd they use brown rice though? 9. Ice Cream - 2 scoops per order (MYR 12/flavor) - Yuzu and Black sesame both were good. Refreshing and not too sweet. 10. Sake (~MYR 200) was good!! I enjoyed this more than the food ? I MIGHT give this restaurant a second try and on my next visit I'll go for more Nigiri or their lunch omakase to see if it's good!

Went there for the first time to try the Christmas omakase menu which was RM988+ for two. It came with a bottle of sake and several dishes as pictured. The food was really fresh and filling. Service was really good as well. The owner came to chat with us and we felt really welcome. I would come here again but maybe for something that wouldn’t hurt the wallet so much this time around!
