★ ★ ★ ★ ★ IF you book you appointment, they do meet you on time but you have to go through the procedure at the security. That might take some time at the ground floor. The place is quite nice but not much could be seen going around. You are processed at the glass window counter only with an appointment. But they did stick to the rules in my case.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have situated themselves in an office block to ensure British citizens cannot easily access their services. Not interested in helping British citizens or offering basic services. A fine analogy for British government in general. Have tightened my resolve to renounce my citizenship as a result of their disinterest in helping those they theoretically serve.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The policies seem to be the same in the 4 countries I've lived in. From about 2011 the outsourcing has driven a high level of process to the extent that when you call as a brit you have to go through a local person who acts like a guard dog devoid of any empathy to the extent you can replace them with a computer. The key is to get an appointment. I read two reviews about emergencies in 1 case a death. There is a direct line for that, once you get through the automated telephone system.
The largest concern is that, they are not your friendly support agency as they once were, due to the outsourcing and cut backs.

When asked if there is anything else they could help with, it was tempting to say I wondered the same thing.
