★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bukit Larut Office provide jeep service to tourist. They give a drive direct to the peak of Bukit Larut(12km) . However, place offered are limited and only available for 4 periods per day. The earliest jeep service starts from 8:30AM . This is not friendly for those who wanna watch sunrise at the peak of Bukit Larut.

The park open early and close at 8pm daily.
There are limited jeep for hill top ride: 5 jeeps we were told. Timeslot: 830am, 1030am and 1230pm.
Ticket counter open at 8am. No advance booking is permitted.
If you are adventurous, you may decide to walk up the hill road. A 10km walk will typically take a normal person 2 hours but please take note that this is a "hill walk", shaded for most of the journey but typically you see local carrying umbrella, maxwell hill is one of the wettest hill in malaysia.
Now coming back to hill walk to the peak 1036 meter, i think it would a challenge to attempt the 10km walk in 2 hours, met few people there, some say 3 hours, other say 4 hours, and i have met a young group of school girls who made it up at 5 hours.
The hill top cafe close at 3pm, so the whole point of discussion. Food. At 1pm, this young group of ladies made it after 5 hours only to find out that all food was finished at 1pm. They started at 7am. Poor thing.
So please have a big breakfast or/and bring your lunch. Note that there are a few stalls selling local food like nasi goreng, mee goreng at the foot of the hill.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Toilet facility need to be improved. QR code for bicycle rental don't seem to work. Top of bukit larut is cooling and beautiful with many plants. Very effecient jeep service to go up the hill. Advance booking required. A must visit place if u visit taiping.
