The view is magneficent. Getting the sight of nature and the suburbs of Taman Melawati bordered by the peaks of Tabur Hills amazes me everytime i'm there.

Amazing view! Super fun hike/ "climb" (no gear needed). Just the right adventure for me and my group (we are all mid 20s). Bring good shoes, plenty of water , a snack and mosquito repellent. Also make sure the weather is good!

Really enjoyable trail, clearly marked and rubbish free. You can park at the bottom for five ringgit and it's the same price per person to hike the route - not sure of the legality but if it's helping the local community then it's a fair price to pay for the hike. Ropes in the steeper places but no real need for them as whilst it's very steep there are plenty of good handholds. We were going at a fair old pace and managed it in an hour and a half so not long, but you could easily take double the time if you're going carefully and stopping at the many good views. I have heard the views of the city are better from the west trail though...

Great place to try. One of the best memories I have about Malaysia. It's magnificent view and the whole surroundings are hard to forget. Mesmerizing landscape is breathtaking. At the end, you will end up seeing a calm valley with stream, that will wash away your busy and tiring thoughts. Better start hiking early and never forget to put on trail shoes. Sometimes it's dangerous and you will face some difficulties both ways, going up and coming down. Give it a shot for sure.

Bukit Tabur can be considered one of the most challenging hill that I have been to. It requires more of strength and skill rather than endurance and stamina. Newbies are not recommended to go for Bukit Tabur if you have never hike any hills or mountains before. The east trail is more of a 70% rock climbing and 30% hiking. Although it is quite dangerous at some points of the trail (climbing an almost 90 degree with the only safety measure is the rope; and some parts don’t even have ropes), but the views and sceneries we can enjoy along the way are definitely worth it.

very nice view along the trail and on the peak, but the last path to reach the peak is quite hard to climb, as all is rock and very deep slope. Got rope there to assist to climb, but grab the rock with hand and lower body central gravity is better.

Great hike/climb, I wouldn't consider it hard but definitely scary one, not for the weak hearted, and not for beginners, I would say you must be physically fit for this, sometimes a rope is all you got to get to top and one slip could cost you a lot, the ropes really look unreliable, but we used them anyway, don't go after 10am please, sun heat could really harm you, better to go early in the morning or later at evening, sunset or sunrise would be amazing from the top, there was a sign telling that you could be fined for climbing it, but we went for it anyway, the trail entrance was closed, we went through the jungle then after getting lost for half an hour got to the trail. Please don't go solo if you are not a reasonably good climber, and make sure you have a map of the trail. Bring food and enough water keeping in mind that you need both your hands for the climb. Approximately 2-3 hours hike for the round trip.
