★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was an overall great experience for me and my family. This place is great for those who would like to have a quiet and peaceful environment. The staff was also very pleasant and polite, they even served breakfast in the morning to our room (the ayam rendang was especially tasty). Since the place is located in the mountains, the scenery was really nice and a great place for photos to be taken with family members or by yourself.On a day with good weather, the stars can be seen at night or in the early morning.The rooms were clean and there were big fences to ensure the safety of the place.Very happy with my experience, would come again with my family.??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best weekend getaway! If you’re looking for a serene jungle retreat that’s not too far from KL, with great hospitality and amazing views, you’ve come to the right place.
Breathtaking view of the jungle and sunset from Ruby 1 (3 pax) and Sapphire 1 (4 pax) rooms. These rooms are connecting so it’s perfect for gatherings. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Each room comes with a kitchenette, some cooking utensils and cutleries. Breakfast is provided which was nasi lemak on both days, served to your room around 9am. AC is available although you don’t really need it at night because it gets chilly. WiFi is also available.
There are a few BBQ pits by the pool which you may need to book in advance. Charcoal and fire starters are available for a price. Be sure to bring plenty of food/snacks as it is quite a drive up Pantai Hill. There are some bugs flying around at night (of course) but surprisingly, not that many mosquitoes.
In the morning, we took a leisure stroll down the hill toward Lata Berembun (closed now due to landslides). We met some friendly locals who recommended taking a quick dip in the river next to Lata Berembun since the hiking trail is closed.
Absolutely love the pool - clean salt water pool that’s slightly less than 1.5m deep with an amazing view of the jungle and sunset. There is also a kiddy pool next to it.
Smooth check-in and check-out. Easy communication with Xian. Thank you, Xian for hosting us! Can’t wait to come back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hidden Gem. Compared to the more famous places like Shorea and The Dusun, this place is less well marketed. However I think that's why it's less pricey and more easily bookable - the weekend I was there, there are plenty of rooms available while I have never successfully been able to book the Dusun because its always fully booked.
I've been to Awan Mulan and comparatively, I prefer this place because
- it's less of an open concept, which I like because I don't feel like I can roll of the edge or accidentally fall off the cliff :)
- insects and lizards do not get into my room
- the view is still amazing even if it's setup as a close-able room
- it has air-conditioned
- This place is very kid friendly compared to the other more "open concept" hotels in the same vicinity because it has railings and I don't have to watch my kid all the time for fear of them tumbling down the valley
- very very clean!
- service is excellent. EXCELLENT!
- pool seems to be salt water pool! That's a plus! Good for the skin!
- my room is Sapphire - great to have a sink and kitchenette area in room. Very convenient
Overall amazing experience. Well maintained.
Tip to owners, put it on TripAdvisor and your place will be fully booked all the time.
