This temple is very solemn, quiet, well visited and has more attractions around it. The locals natives one can watch them doing the rituals. Families, kids, elders, are a site to watch. Needs an hour to walk around and absorb the wealth of heritage & spirits in this temple....

This is a Siamese temple with some local uniqueness, from ornamental features to prayer rituals. There are four imposing dragons that none will miss because they are there the moment one steps into the complex. Look carefully and quickly one will realise there are two distinct dragons. Two are constructed based onIndian mythology whereas the others are Chinese. The 1st Porthant, chief monk, is honoured and prayed at a shrine in the compound. It was said that he enjoyed our local dish, Penang Laksa, until Laksa becomes a standard offer during prayer in his shrine. Penang communities have so much to offer for communal harmonies.

An incredibly beautiful and quiet thai buddhist temple in Georgetown. It felt like being in Bangkok's temples again, and I do recommend to visit early in the morning before it gets toot hot. Stop by the ice cream vendor at the entrance and refresh yourself with mango sticky rice to feel even more in Thailand.

A serene and quiet place of worship on off peak hours. Enough parking on a Friday noon.

This Thai-style Buddhist temple is where you'll find the famous Reclining Buddha in Penang. Pictures taken just outside the hall. Saw few devotees doing their prayers there.

This temple is the oldest Malaysian Siamese temple. In 1795, The temple features one of the world's longest (Reclining Buddha / Sleeping Buddha) (108 ft / 33 meter) statue as well as several coloured statues of Yaksha and other mythical creatures. Several smaller statues of the Buddha in various poses, as well as the Devas can be seen throughout the temple, particularly adorning the main prayer hall & the entrance hall. If you are in Penang - George Town, probably you can take a quick visit about +/- 30 min.
