Unassuming simple family-run place serving home cooked food that just comforts your stomach. Menu is simple and straightforward: There are just 2 dishes - chicken wings and a mee tai mak claypot dish (mouse Noodle). Didnt eat the chicken wings as I didn't have enough people (minimum qty 6). But the claypot dish is ohhh so good! And crowd starts picking up by 7PM. And do note they are off on Wed and Thurs.

A simple shop house serving two dishes - clay pot noodles and deep fried chicken wings. Sounds simple, right? But the noodles are “rat tail” noodles (so called for their shape) that are not readily served at most places, cooked perfectly al-dente, in a comfy broth with pork balls and two eggs added right when it is brought to the table. The fried garlic bits and some red chili paste added just the right kick. The cumin infused deep-fried wings were served golden brown - crispy skin and tender morsels of juicy meat. A perfect snack at 9:30 pm. The bamboo drink was a great compliment to cool the heat from the two beautiful dishes. Well done Ipoh, well done...

The claypot lou shu fun looked ordinary when I first saw it. But it was awesome with different levels of taste with each spoonful. Surprised something so simple can taste so nice! Chicken wings were nice but nothing too special. The claypot lou shu fun is the star of the show!

Most unique way to do their loh shee fun... on a charcoal stove complete with a handheld fan. It tastes very good and a pot serves 2. The claypot arrives and they break 2 eggs into it - stir well and enjoy !

Before I ate this I was already very full ( ate too much of other stuff) and I still enjoy every bit of it all.

claypot lao shu fen with chicken wings. Limited choice as the shop only 2 dish. Taste basic, can try if you prefer mild taste and hot food.
