二十世纪初，陈氏公馆的会员才在大伯公街门牌64号创建祠堂，同时改名陈氏宗祠。
陈氏宗祠一年会进行几次的祭祖仪式，而每次祭祖仪式结束后，他们都会设宴招待属下会员。每年农历七月的中元节，陈氏宗祠的董事会也会召集会员到槟城广东及汀州第一、第二及第三公冢，为七座历史悠久的陈氏总坟扫墓致祭。
1976年，庇能陈氏宗祠设立奖学金，以鼓励宗亲子女努 力向学。1979年，该宗祠也增设大学辅助金。

At the beginning of the twentieth century, members of the Chen family's residence only established the ancestral hall at No. 64, Dabogong Street, and at the same time changed its name to the Chen family's ancestral hall.
There are several ancestor worship ceremonies in the Chen's Ancestral Hall each year, and after each ancestral worship ceremony, they will host a banquet to entertain their members. Every year on the Lunar New Year's Day in the seventh lunar month, the board of directors of the Chen's Ancestral Hall will also summon members to the first, second and third public tombs of Guangdong and Tingzhou, Penang, to sweep the tombs of the seven historical tombs of the Chen's.
In 1976, Buneng Chen's Ancestral Hall established a scholarship to encourage the children of the clan to study hard. In 1979, the ancestral hall also added a university subsidy.
