Famous local noodles... must try, home made noodles. The gravy taste salty, but when mixed with noodles, it blends in. Not that meaty, just a few mince (pork), this local food is incredibly quite amazing. Dip a little of the chilly paste into the noodles make this bowl of noodles fantastic. Price that matters; Large bowl RM5.00 Small bowl RM4.50

Pretty good food around Kuala Lipis, eat this since childhood time. A classic family business based traditional Hakka Noodle, taste especially with the home made special chilis, it's authentic taste in this Kampung area.

Very nice and well done noodles. Their dumplings is also a must with your noodles. Serving time is fast, went there for breakfast at 8 am, quite packed but food came quick. The staff is also super friendly. Must try when in Lipis.

No trip to Lipis is Never complete without a stop to Chong Ko's local famous noodle restaurant that has been here for generations. A favourite of my grandparents, my mum and her siblings, and now me. You will not be disappointed.

If there's one dish that I will never ever, ever, ever get enough of... And certainly won't feel bored (or jelak)... it is definitely the legendary Chong Ko Hakka noodle in my sleepy hometown of Kuala Lipis. I can proudly say that I grew up eating this noodle and I am still eating it whenever I can. This is actually Hakka Dabu style noodle - you'd find many of different interpretations of the famous Hakka noodle (think the famous Chun Kee Da Bu Mien in Pudu KL). Chong Ko style is very simple as the star ingredient is the noodle itself. They make their own noodle in limited quantity everyday without any preservatives. ◾They simply blanched the noodle in boiling water for a while, drizzled with some oil, their own savoury sauce, fish sauce and minced chicken meat... Then topped with spring onions. For Kuala Lipis folks, we mix the accompanying chilly sauce and eat everything together. ◾Wantan and sui kaw are extras ◾Apart from the homemade noodle, they also have even limited volume of lou shu fun (sometimes I'd mix both noodle together). ◾Or go for their sang meen where they'll mix dark sauce to the noodle, and where I will mix the chilly sauce together as well before everything ends up in my tummy. They have come from a very humble beginning when the original proprietor started selling the noodle from a push cart near where they are now... back then all the rubber tappers and those who toiled on the lands would come early for a bowl of Hakka noodle before going to work. They are in the third generation now... On separate note, do try the fried noodle located just across the small lane. The flavour and wok hei are quite good... And both are related to each other. Note: There is actually another Chong Ko Hakka Noodle in Pandan Indah which opened by the elder brother. Both brothers have learned the rope of making the awesome texture of noodle, but the Hakka noodle in KL has been tuned to suit the taste of KL-ites.

Quite crowded. Quite similar to Kampua noodle in Sibu, Sarawak. Sells breakfast only. Open at 6 am.
