★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed in a beachfront chalet in cocohut. These are directly located on the white sandy beach as seen on the pictures. The chalet is basic, in our case the fridge and air-conditioning worked perfectly. The shower seemed to be renovated recently. Breakfast is included and is simple, yet the quality is okay. Diner can be taken in Cocohut. The restaurant offers a good choice of local Malaysian food as also more western style food. Prices are okay. From Cocohut all beaches and the small Island can be easily reached by water taxi. Alternatively some of the beaches can be reached by jungle track. At Cocohut the track starts at the back of Cozy Chalets.
The nearby Universal divers offers great dive trips and courses. They have professional and very friendly staff!

Cons: the room has poor lighting, no wifi, quite dusty, old electronic appliances, less plug for phone charging, no iron & no kettle

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I do not recommend this place at all. I wish i could give less stars. The room was not cheap and not clean and definitely not cozy. There was mold in many places and the washroom reeked of sewer. There was no fan, no wifi, no mosquito net. The place was noisy at night. The staff was not friendly and not particularly helpful. The food was sub par and in short supply multiple times. Even considering that the island is remote and that all of the restaurants on the island have a difficult time getting quality ingredients, this place was especially poor. Do not stay here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ THE WORST FORM OF HOTEL/CHALET THAT I HAVE STAYED IN .... Fyi, i rarely will give a negative review to any hotel unless they deserve it. Now where should i start ..
1) It is not family friendly ... At all. It was all stairs and it was dirty .. gekko lizards, monitor lizards were found everywhere
2) Room is less than average. Dirty walls, not so clean toilet, lights some were not functioning. No kettle was provided, and no mineral water bottles provided. What do we drink ??
3) Unfortunately, during my stay it rained on one of the nights. Here was where the nightmare started ...
4) My room leaked at 3 places, soaking the bed n pillows. Had to moved d bed ourselves.
5) When we moved d bed, there were termites all over.. huhuhu
6) One by one the lights blacked out due to the leaking. We heard loud pops and then there were burnt smells
7) We tried to call the reception several times, but no answer.
8) Tried to go down to the reception, but our room was so far up,and it was very slippery and dangerous
Sad to say, but it was a miserable stay for us. Luckily we only stayed for only 1 night here, as we have booked our stay at another resort.
To anyone coming to Pulau Perhentian, please do consider other resorts. Hope no one else 'suffered' like we did..holidays are supposed to be enjoyable but OUR STAY AT COZY CHALET IS THE UTMOST WORST EVER!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The chalet had awesome view and nearby the beach but have to walk lots of stairs up. The chalet we stayed was average with a broken dressing table. There were little light at night, so walking to the chalet at night was a little difficult. Anyway, can use handphone torch along the way. Those who have issues with walking up staircases are not advised to book this chalet. Food and drinks nearby are pricey (for Malaysians). Beware of mosquitoes and other insects at night. There were monkeys around as well. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. They converse very good English. Will recommend this place for the view.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fab apartment and very well maintained, especially for island living. Constantly developing the area for the better. Lovely beach chairs just at the foot of the stairs to the apartments. Restaurant struggles to cater for allergies and vegetarian diet so be very clear and you shouldn't have an problems, just triple check with your server or bring your own snacks
