A decent dining place that comes together with good choice of Western cuisines and some local dishes. Highly recommended for couples and families. Crowded on weekends so make reservation to avoid disappointment.

I loved the ambience, old nostalgic building but tastefully furnished. Be it a meal with friends, family or even for business appointment, it's definitely a wonderful, relaxing place to be in. They serve Western and local delights, amongst which Nasi Lemak Rendang, Hainanese Pork and Prawn Noodle is a must try! Big boss, Mr William and his crew are ever so pleasant and welcoming! Don't take my word for it, try out yourself!

Best to make reservations before going. The prices are reasonable for the environment. Service is quick. Good to try out for the experience. Parking can be challenging.

Although the restaurant looks nice but i was rather disappointed with their food. I ordered a steak, medium well at that and it came out bloody and the steak had a pretty strong smell to it. The crepe suzette was a let down too. To serve french desserts, the key is the presentation. No side flambe and the crepe was rolled up. Also, it was basically flooded with orange juice. For that price it was not worth it. The only thing i really like is their fried chicken. Overall not worth the price to eat there.

Vintage deco. An very old shop re-open (since 3 years ago) after closed for 11 years. Food is fine. Interesting drinks selection. Coffee with liquor also got. You are like visit a history while visiting the shop.

This place will indeed make you feel at home. The elderly staffs are really hospitable and the local dishes are truly authentic. Also love how the restaurant preserves both the English and Malaysian heritage of olden Ipoh in terms of the interior. Furthermore, it is perfectly situated in the heart of old town of Ipoh. Perhaps the dessert was the only let-down. Otherwise, a double thumbs-up. Instagram: theroytravels

Great place to dine in. Food was really delicious. Staff was super friendly and the owner (William) was the greatest host. Chatted with him about the history of the restaurant and how he got all the antiques into the restaurant. A must for anyone that stays in Ipoh.

Amazing place for my family’s Christmas Eve dinner. They put a lot of heart into every dish served - Highlights of the night for me were the seafood chowder and the crepe suzette! Service was top notch and I now understand why locals would always come back here! Their butter cake is also another gem I’ve managed to try during the MCO which you will need to book a few days before collecting. I loved the framed old newspaper pages with the quirky ads and the decor which felt like I was being transported back to the early 1900s. Definitely a must visit.
