β β β β β First time visiting and everything is done professionally. Was referred to see Dr Yap by my fertility doctor to do the amniocentesis test. I was consulted by Dr. Yap today and did the test as well. I find her very caring and professional, which is the utmost important thing for me. Same goes for the nurses and receptionist. They were all attentive and friendly. Have read bad reviews about the receptionist but I had a different experience. I find her just plain straight forward and professional. The only thing I would complain is the location of the clinic, itβs a bit hard to locate.

β β β β β My purpose here is to provide more context and to balance out the several positive comments given to Dr Yap Moy Juan.
This is our first time and never again. Unfortunately, a bad experience. We had high hopes and was looking forward to meet Dr Yap for a 2nd opinion.
She is overly casual βcincaiβ, dismissive, condescending in response and may have a slight (unrealised) misandry (due to a certain remark she made and how she spoke with different demeanors when engaging with my wife vs me). She is nonchalant in her overall review and consultation (lack thereof).
She does not know how to deal with different patient profiles (i.e thinkers, fact-driven, feeling) that made us feel very incompetent. Most questions asked were answered as though we were βstupidβ and as if it's a known fact (sure - to her as a medical practitioner for years... not us.). Her verbal cues are confusing. Need to improve in tact.
Good points:
- We appreciate her advise and views on supplements; not to over consume. (However, she also assumes my wife consumes the right kind of nutrition in her daily food intake. She didn't even ask about her diet.)
- Easy-going; reassuring (but, she can quickly become overly nonchalant that a sensitive issue becomes irrelevant to her and therefore it should be to us as well; lack of EQ)
If you are more conservative, love the natural life (less supplements), don't have many questions and tight on budget - maybe there's a fit.
But if you like facts, want to know more information, like to engage with your doctor and prefers a doctor that is slightly more caring and willing to share and not turn you aside just because you have too many questions to clarify - chew on this review.
* Receptionists are ok. They have a "live" queue platform that you can stay updated on.
** My views are my own and objective after more than 3 hours of calming down.
To you who are reading this, stay strong, choose wisely and know that whatever you're going through, you're not alone.

β β β β β Worst place to ever visit. The Indian lady receptionist should be fired. Rude, unprofessional and inconsiderate. Not at all vested in providing good care for patients. How is she still working there is a complete mystery.

β β β β β Thereβs no time slot allocated when making appointment. You can only secure a session say Monday morning and come to take number very early in the morning.
My wife and I reached at 8am and gotten no.7. At 12pm we are still waiting for our turn to see the doc.
The wait is worse than government hospitals.

β β β β β Dr Yap is very friendly and I am happy with the dr service.
3 stars due to the staffs are not friendly.when I asked for my 4d baby scan as promised by Dr will email to me, the staffs just shout at me and said βjust wait laβ. Hello, we are customer and we are paying for this. Why donβt just answer nicely and just tell us a time frame. We are not getting the service by free of charge. We paid and we just asking for the picture that belongs to us.
Again, good dr with excellent service, but please improve the staff service! Poor

β β β β β Actually I saw Dr Yap last year and I should have given this 5 star to her months ago. She has really helped me and my husband a lot. I think people don't really understand her job. Doctors here are not just normal gynaecologists but they are also specialised in fetal medicine too and they have very good coloured ultrasound scanning device. She may appear to be direct but she is actually caring in nature and very professional. The clinic assistants are actually kind too. Kudos to Dr Yap and her team.

β β β β β I was welcome by an Indian receptionist and she is friendly to me. Waiting time about 1 hour plus n Iβm the 4th patient. Dr Yap take her time check up for me n explain very detail as well as patiently listen to my question and answer me clearly. She really calm me down a lot with all my worries. N the best thing is she took my blood without I feel any pain! ???????? Before I left the receptionist still gave me encouragement words which touched my heart. Thanks Dr Yap and the team ??
