Went to try due to all good reviews, to my disappointment, it was just mediocre, 3 small fish balls and not much ingredients despite a lot of koay Teow for a small bowl at RM5.

Taste differently from others Koay Teow Thng. Personally I like it especially the fish ball. Good environment and not too crowded either.

Some say it is the best in Penang, while some say it is so so. I suppose when you consider the homemade fish ball, the generosity of the accompaniments (the iceberg salad, the chopped spring onion/parsley, the chilis) , the local consumer behavior (more for less, better still FOC), and the clean ambience, unmistakenly these factors make it one of the better, if not the best, koay teow soup in town.

One of the best koay soup in town, broth is superb and their home made fish balls are fabulous, strongly recommended

Found hidden behind bamboo blinds and potted garden at the junction with Amoy Lane is this busy breakfast corner. A mug of mean kopi (RM1.60) is served here to wake you up from last night's drift. The quarrelsome Hokkien couple up front cooks your morning Koay Teow Thng with a Singapore style menu. A basic bowl (RM5) comes with five petite soft and salty fishballs, handmade by factory hands with little fish paste in the Penang tradition of eel ball making, much of it just flour. A few strands of chicken and a token lettuce tops off this clear broth of chicken and pork scrags. The latter is a delicacy being gnawed upon by a visiting octagenarian hungry for his lost childhood memories growing up in Singapore's ghetto, but at an additional price. So comfortably, Pay as you Go here. Add on 3 pieces of pork intestines for RM1.00. A better bowl is found at Lebuh Melayu in the evenings.
