★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm surprised this stall isn't reviewed more. An old couple runs the store and is very friendly (and can speak English too). They cook using a wood charcoal fire. The fried carrot cake (or char kueh kak) is satisfyingly savoury with a surprising tang. There is a nice bite of lard speckling the dish, and the (white) carrot cake is not too starchy and flavourful on its own.
My guess is they only open up in the morning and afternoon (i was here on a Sunday).
