Kimberly Street is a place where you will be spoilt by choices of hawkers’ food from morning till night (perhaps except lunch). Char Koay Kak (direct translate: fried cubes cake) or aka fried radish cake. Simple ingredients of egg, lard, radish cake, taugeh (beansprout), dark soy sauce. From the stall name, its Chao Zhou Traditional Taste, hence i presume the difference would be the soy sauce. Its a bit sweet as compared to other Char Koay Kak. What makes this special is the usage of firewood ONLY to fried the Koay Kak. Therefore the Koay Kak will not be over burnt taste. The taugeh is abit raw otherwise it should get full points. Price is rm6 - its a tourist spot price though

Very good char kway kak cooked by an auntie still using firewood. Very generous with the bean sprouts. Good wok hei and the chilli has a nice heat. Go for the duck egg.
