★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to this restaurant on sunday afternoon. Their salmon and tuna sashimi were good but i think the Hotate Butter Menta (scallop) really impressed us. Worth for a try:)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An excellent Japanese restaurant that really know how to prepare and present their dishes. The restaurant itself is beautiful and sophisticated. Staff are helpful and efficient making you feel at home. All of this combined created a memorable way to spend our Christmas Day evening. Japanese style!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Finally a top notch Japanese restaurant right here at our neighbourhood.. kudos to the owner as great ambience and food quality delivered. My beef Teppanyaki although not the usual cube sizes..more elangoted sizes are equally impressive. Keep up the food quality, you may have us as your frequent patrons.

However, please bring a magnifying glass to browse the menu as it is too small to read. We were lost at what to order due to the fact that not enough pictures to illustrate the food.
Update: they had changed their menu and I'm happy to say that you don't need a magnifying glass to read the menu anymore! Yay! There are pictures to help you to identify the food in the menu too!
However, waitresses and waiters still need more training especially the ones whom take your order. Gave us lots of wrong information as they are not familiar with the sashimi entre. Though the team is generally polite and efficient, the ones that take orders must improve on their knowledge in the restaurant.
Overall food quality is good and the great ambient makes it a great choice to have good and quality Japanese cuisine in this area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ very good service. the servants are still inexperienced but you could see their commitment to provide the best they could. the quality is almost comparable with rakuzen, over time I believe it could reach to that level if the management is committed to offer the best. The menu is limited compare to rakuzen but I reckon it should be good enough for small community here. We came for lunch, we wanted the otoro but was told the fish would only arrive in evening. Our unagi set wasn't available too. The salad was fresh but the sauce wasn't impressive to spice up the taste. The temaki and maki were good, fresh with right amount of ingredients. hope it can sustain. it would be my go-to Japanese if I m lazy to drive out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Spacious dining and attentive staffs. Highly recommended if you wish to have a chilling dining experience. Lots of sake options too (but we didn't drink) salad with fried fish skins was crispy, while dressing was tasty (somewhat added roe or prawns in it, not too sure). The volcano maki really looks like a volcano, but I almost couldn't remember there's maki in it.
Note: some seafood may be seasonal, do chck with the staff before disappoint you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the first time I give 3 stars review, let’s see why.
1. Service - one of the worst I’ve experienced. Do not expect to hear “thank you” “please” “excuse me”. For example, when you tell her your order, the response is “yeah”. Service staff have NO SMILES AT ALL. We asked a trainee to take our order, he couldn’t do it, fine we understand but he could’ve asked another staff to do it but instead he asked us to wait for another staff that is taking order at another table. Service staff grooming is horrible. One of them has hair so long that it’s touching the table when she served. Some of them has a bun, but it’s a messy bun with hair sticking out up down left right. Not professional at all. Generally, every interaction with the service staff you’ll have here is just rude, unprofessional and cold.
2. Food - portion was on the smaller side. Taste is acceptable but at the price they are charging, I expect a little bit more in terms of food quality and taste. We ordered a sukiyaki and according to the menu, the photo shows the sukiyaki set comes with a plate of raw sliced beef, and a pot with stove, where you cooked the beef in the broth, dip it in a raw egg and savour. BUT NOPE NOT HERE, the sukiyaki that was served is not according to the menu. No raw beef slices to be found. When questioned, the staff told us that the beef is already cooked and in the broth (no apologies no further explanation why it’s different from menu). Ok fine maybe the restaurant didn’t wanna serve raw food but why the raw egg is still there. The broth is already not boiling hot, it’s quite disgusting to take out the already cooked beef from the not-boiling-hot broth and dip in the raw egg. There’s even a part of beef stuck on the pot handle!
3. Price - honestly the price here is on the high side considering the portion,taste and quality. Something like normal Japanese food standard but way more expensive.
The only plus point is, dining environment and ambience is comfortable and spacious.
Anyway, pretty sure I won’t return to dine here again.
To those you that has read my whole review, thank you and I hope it helps you make better decision on choosing where to eat. If the owner is reading this, I hope you will work on the training of your service staff.
