Horrible hotel. I spent my 7 days quarantine there. And I paid for the premium package. Absolutely nothing premium at this hotel. The room was small, smelly, the mattress was REALLY bad, the air conditioning sounds like a tractor in the bedroom and the bathroom was disgusting with mold everywhere. The fridge was a joke and no table for meal. And about the meals, forget. Unappealing food all week. It’s only good if you want to loose some weight. Do a favor to yourself, find a different place to stay.

Really surprised by the bad reviews here! I've had a great time at this hotel for my 7 day quarantine. The meals were excellent, though having too much chicken reptitively, the staff were hardworking snd dedicated, the view from my room was amazing, and the bed was comfy. Yes the carpets in the room is a bad idea especially for someone who's allergic to mites and dust like me but everything else was great. The AC was loud at first but I figured it was because of the fab speed .. after lowering the fan speed it was good. I recommend staying here for your quarantine!

Had chosen this hotel’s premium package to serve my 7 days quarantines it is not a new hotel, some of the walls/paints had some cracks. I was satisfied with all the meals served during this time. Some was even delicious.

5min walking distance from MRT bukit bintang, choose exit C (so u do not need to cross roads at traffic light). Hotel was open for covid-19 private quarantine centre when self home quarantine was not enforced in Malaysia yet.

The location of the hotel is strategic if you travel by public transport but if you driving your own car this the worse location ever. The traffic is soo bad at the peak hour. You could spend an hour just to go to the main street from your hotel.

1 day stay from 11 to 12 Jun 2022. The man reception was very rude when I asked about the difference between 2 join twin size beds and a king size bed. All the while he looked down, not smiling and no eye contact. I felt that I was like taking to the air. He gave us a non sound proof room 805 (I guessed he was purposely). The indian lady beside him looked fierce too (zero contact). When we went to our room, we can hear people laughing and talking very loud next door as it was a joint room. There was a door divided both rooms. Because of that, we have to lower our voices too. Poor house keeping as there were no bath towels and the left shower door was jammed. There was a sheltered 1.2 m dark swimming pool and the water was freezing. Nobody swam there (kind of haunted). My son has caught a flu because of that. The whole floor has no light and not a single soul except 3 of us). The next morning, my son was down with fever and my hubby asked me to eat breakfast at the restaurant floor M and pack for them after I ate. First thing when I reached the restaurant, I asked a Filipino man (either waiter or manager) if I could take away breakfast and eat in the hotel room, he told me cannot as the food will be contaminated if I take away. What's his logic? I really don't understand, then what happen to food panda or grab delivery? I was left with a shock because I thought of my hubby and my sick son has no food. We have paid for the breakfast!! What kind of hotel service was that? Ended up we did not eat our paid breakfast and my hubby went out to pack McDonald's breakfast. Your staff should practise flexibility. Oh yes, one of the bath towel has stool on it (it was contaminated). Luckily I brought own towels. I was not sure whether was non sound proof or haunted, I heard a lady singing when near my hotel room's toilet at around 2.30 am in the morning when I went toilet. Only compliment is the malay uncle who took care of our bags after we checked out. He was smiling all the way, very approachable and left us a good impression. Very disappointed experience of choosing Hotel Royal. Will not come back anymore.

The hotel is located at one of the best locations in Bukit Bintan. An easy walk to main attractions and to get the metro. Parking is limited though. Its located in one of the busiest intersections so it could take time for taxi's to reach you. The room was not good. It feels old and not clean. AC was not cold enough and the bathroom was leaking. Service is a hit or miss. The breakfast menu was almost the same everyday so if you are staying more than 2 days you will easily hate it.
