TO AVOID AT ALL COST !!! (Use to be great but no more) 14 april, brought my father with lower limb weakness to ed. The counter had no one and the vital signs taking room are full of nurses laughing and chit chatting loudly. After 15mins, they asked what were we waiting for and only then inform for me to register first, not at the ed counter but at the MAIN COUNTER!!! I dont understand! People comes to ed due to urgency yet you make such a ridiculous system on which ed patients need to queue for registration along with outpatients over the main registration counter?!! While i was away doing registration, none of the staff wanted to help my sick father whom cant walk to washroom! Then, after registration, the nurses asked my dad on wheelchair to see which doctor. Excuse me, arent you supposed to ask regarding the symptoms? We had a history of admission under Dr Mumtaz Malik (endocrine) And after telling my dad had unilateral lower limb weakness, how can one ask " still want to see dr mumtaz is it?". Hospital are supposed to decide which specialiaty is this!!!! Obviously either neuro or ortho!!! After that, my dad are pushed to the surgeon room in clinic and from there made to wait in admission counter while awaiting initial GL. I had never been to a private hospital whereby an ed patient not entitled to a bed and need to wait painfully for admission with no intial treatment!!!! Will go around and inform regarding your useless ED and weird administration pathyway of mananging casualty patient. Highly dissatisfied and disappointed!!! UPDATE : After waiting for 4 hours, insurance company said query is not yet answered by doctor!!!!! Asked hospital which proudly answered doctor went to eat!!!! So eating is more important than urgent ed patients. Throughout waiting time, my dad waiting on waiting chair, no any meds given. Just close your place! We've absconded and went to glenegles which offer excellent service instead! As a doctor myself, i know this is inappropriate and bad service by the hospital and specialist mr chow chong chek himself. I will lodge a report to KKM for the negligence and poor conduct of this hospital.

Never met a hospital that the admission department has no one to answer phone calls during working hours. So many calls made just to ask about my admission status, in the end had to ask directly for the Dr's room to inform the nurse of such matter. First and last time getting myself to this place.

Before Covid-19 pandemic, Indonesian medical tourism usually will stay in local Penang Hotel. But today after pandemic, Indonesian Medical tourism team did not stay in local Penang Hotel. We are local resident arrived hospital at 10am and sit in the hospital until 5pm and make us have to take another day of half day leave because we just taught half day after called reception and the reception did not told us today have Indonesian group. Unfortunately after waiting a while, found out Island Hospital priority Indonesian first but the Indonesian are not in the hospital. They took the number 1st in the morning, then go to travel around island. This means that they have lots of free time. Why the Island hospital did not separate the waiting number for Indonesian because sure can know their flight arrival time? Example another number specified to Indonesian on a specific day and another special number for local residents on a special day for local residents. Another worst part is Island hospital arrange Indonesian in the first place and let the local residents in the behind place. This will causes a high spread risk of Covid-19 because according to the World data, Indonesian less Booster covid19 vaccination rate of their population. If Island hospital always priority Indonesian first and did not put local resident in the 1st place, then Island hospital should go to Indonesia open a hospital because Island hospital now is located at local residence of golden land. Another question is how can Island hospital let the Golden Citizen follow the First come procedures? As a professional healthcare Centre, they should follow the Government vaccination step example put the OKU and Golden citizen in the 1st place because the Worldwide specialist said that Golden citizen is the high risk of any kind pandemic. We saw many Golden Citizen around 70 years old sit inside the hospital a whole day and some of the Golden Citizen need to come back the hospital because of Island hospital operation team lack of coordination. On that day is one of the doctors routing operation days but the registration counter staff still giving queue number to the patients. Due to this matters, I call customer service and enquiry whether this day is doctor operation day. Then she ask me which doctor and want go pass the line to the doctors clinic. I am very confused that past few year when I called reception, they will immediately let me know which doctor usually will be doing operation in a specific day but now, the registration counter seems throw the information jobs to the clinic. The customer service and reception manager should going around the clinic rooms and keep the information to their subordinates.

The worst hospital of the whole Malaysia. Many bad experiences with the doctors over there. The last drop was vaccination buster. We paid RM 148, when me and my husband came for procedure, they already filed up the syringe without showing to us. We told them we are not going to accept this buster, we want to see the battle, we have to be sure that the vaccine that we are getting is correct. Doctor Leong Kar Hing told us we should tell him earlier we want to see. Nonsense. The person to whom I have to trust my health doesn’t know even simple rules of vaccination!! He said they doesn’t have anymore. We insisted to get the new one. He went out after 20 minutes came back, was trying to manipulate something with the cold box, asked nurses to stand around the box to cover. When we saw this we decided to not to do the buster over there, since they trying to bluff. Once he heard that we doesn’t want, he became very happy. I asked for the duty manager and refund. Waited for her another half an hour. They were dragging the time. We couldn’t wait. Left and went to another small clinic where our buster went smooth. Rm 99. And we was shocked when we saw the email from island hospital that they are congratulated us with the successful buster. I can’t even imagine how unprofessional and greedy have to be to do that! Than manager called me, her name is Josephine Wong (later we knew that she is marketing manager, which is also nonsense, how she can be related to this issue). So she said that amount is not refundable. But I told that is not fir our case since is their mistake and unprofessionally. She said she will update me. Almost three weeks I was calling and rushing, today she told me that they decided not to pay back. I told her in this case will meet them in the court. She laughed back and said ok. Never go tho this lousy hospital!

I am not writing about medical experience but the food they served. I went there with a stack of coupons for a meal in the cafeteria. Not much variety for dishes but nutrition wise was acceptable. I chose 2 pieces of chicken and 2 choices of veggie. See the pictures. 2 sets with drinks. Cost RM37. 60. Not cheap. Food was just average when you were hungry. But hospitals are always clean.

My both kids are regular customer with Dr Dan, Pediatrics who are always our first choice over the past 11 years. This is my daughter 4th admission. Everything in order when last day ( number 5th day in hospital) of stay I went to insurance counter ask the claimed form back. The person in charge call up to Dr clinic. The nurse ( Chinese) who pick up call. Over the conversation she told me I should had inform early neither the insurance counter. And she repeated and highlighted 2-3 times about this statement. I told her I handed the form to insurance counter on the next day ( day time) of admission. And the insurance counter has passed it to clinic on the same days. Most tested reports are out on the first admission day. In the past 3 times admission experienced I always get the claim signed form before discharge same as my son last year (2021). In all chaotic situation, things happened just come out a solution rather finger point. Highlighted and stress on a blame to customer is inappropriate. This turn us away although we will missed a good Dr here.

Compared to me and the last time I visited, the situation in this hospital has indeed improved a lot. The quality of the staff has improved. As long as there are employees, they will greet you wherever they go. The clean environment is also pretty good. Compared with other private hospitals before The charge here is that the system is less than before, the price is medium, and the facilities of the ward are very complete.Compared to other private hospitals, the beds don’t have to wait that long. I believe that I will get better services when I am admitted to the hospital next time.
