One of the ideal place to stay around Johor area. I have stayed around two week’s period and it’s quite comfortable. Room arrangement and the concept is nice and can be improved. Wash room draining system should be repair as most of the time experienced that water retention due to the clogged scuppers or drainage. Hotel service is standard. Some receptionists are looks like rude but few of them are super friendly and really supportive. Foods were really delicious and my special thanks goes to the whole catering department. Wi-Fi internet signals also fair strength but sometime no internet at all. Be prefer to book a room with a view of marina bay and away from the rooftop water pound. Honestly I didn't get a proper sleep during my stay because of an annoying sound was generated by roof top water pound. Also I have found a bird feather on my bed (photo attached). Apart from that this hotel can be recommended for a descent stay.

I had a higher expectation from Hotel Jen. The staff were polite. I think the management is short sighted. They didn’t open the Wing which faces the Harbour, so your view is either the road or the next hotel block. In fact this would be the best time to showcase the best rooms to the staying guests who venture here have a good experience, so that they would come back in future. The pool was closed and most eating outlets as well. Would be better off at Doubletree JB for around the same price point.

Staff from Jen was super friendly and helpful. Was pleasantly suprised when our room was decorated with towel swans and petals for our anniversary! There is a minimart opposite the hotel for tidbits or drinks and a cafe beside for the late night dinner! Quite difficult to get a grab because of the location on weekdays.

Such a bad experience with such a highly recognized hotel by Shangri-La. Really disappointed and will never recommend for business or leisure trip. - Inexperienced front desk officer which can’t communicate well and unsure most of the time with the info given. - Multiple calls given and no one pick up from the front desk, service center and health club. I would need to go all the way down to the front desk counter to gather info. - Dusty cupboard and sofa (photos attached). - Water retention due to congested drainage system (photo attached). - Pool time 11am - 7pm (Omg, standard check out time is 11am and pool time open at 11am?!!). Paying for few hundreds a night and most facilities are not accessible?! - Unpleasant smell in the room due to no occupancy for long?! - Slipper in room is not provided. - Etc I do understand it’s not easy during the pandemic period but with the price given, certain standard and expectation must be met (To be honest, with the same price given, I got very good experiences in one of the Marriott hotel in KK during my business trip). Or else the grade and status of the hotel should be review again.

I think the hotel is not up to fully operational status post covid. the whole area and the check in lobby is like a ghost town and not all of their F&B are open. I had booked an executive suite because it advertised as club floor access but on check in was told the club lounge was not operating. Check in was at 3pm, but even at 4pm plus we still did not have the room. The room itself was okay and generally clean but small things like - remotes no battery, the aircon was stuck on permacold temp and the only solution was to turn it off in one room. As such, i did not bother to try their restaurant or room service as i did not wish to be dissapointed further. also the carpark is in a fairly decrepit state. there was overflowing rubbish at the rubbish bin by the lift lobby entrance as well, which isnt generally the way you wish to start a visit to a hotel.

Good stay! I got a free night stay by booking via the web and enroll memberships. Room is perfect but no slippers provide. The rest just fine walking distance to anywhere nearby.

The rooms were spacious n clean. The hotel receptionist, Alicia was very polite n helpful. Love the service in Harbour Cafe for our morning buffet breakfast especially Shirleen, the manager who gave such excellent service, catering to everyone's needs. Thumbs up for Jen Hotel.

I took the stay and eat promotion. The room was good, clean and comfortable but the dinner at the dome was not as expected. The view and deco for the dinner at the dome was good. The mushroom soup and dessert was delicious. The main course, chicken and fish was a disappointment. Fish was over cooked and the chicken was cooked with the skin and the skin was soggy. After dinner we moved to the sky bar, the view at the sky bar was better then the dome. And the food at the sky bar looked better (buffet). They could just served us the from buffet. I will return to the hotel for the room and breakfast but not for the dinner.
